Hi Both,

Our heart went our to you both yesterday, it was everyones nightmare when transiting dogs, and even with the very best equipment that you were using, malfunction took over.   However, as the other posts said, every-one was very quick off the mark, and Cito is home with you.

Great news, and very well received by the crowd when we knew he was out of trouble and at the vets.

Best wishes  -  Mo and all at Mascani.

Hi Graham and Angela,

Must admit I feared the worst but knew when seeing Linda B rushing to you, he was to be in good hands. Was so happy when they announced he was at the vet and going to be ok , now pleased to hear he is safe and well at home with you. Well done everyone.

All the best

Sue B

i have found AQUAMATS are an excellent way of cooling dogs down in hot weather once wet they stay wet for hours and the large ones are just big enough to fit over their backs and round the belly it really is a great way of cooling them down.

i am glad Chiara is on the mend must have been awful for you

regards

Tracie

Have to say I was only a small part of a large team of people who helped Angela & Graham with Chiara Cito. Some of the others where Kim Powdrill, Jackie Young, John & Leslie Robinson, Pete (don't remember surname) steve Foran, Michelle Baker  and a small blonde Girl also a Vet Nurse who's name I don't Know There where so many people helping it would be difficult to name them all and each and everyone of them played an important roll in saving this dogs life. You should all be very proud of yourselves for taking the time and trouble to help out in such a crisis.

I am so pleased Graham & Angie your boy is home now home with you and on the road to recovery,  i'm the 'vet nurse' who was at the show.

I haven't stopped thinking about him since sunday..

Please if anyone finds themselves in the same position ideally you need to monitor the dogs tempreture as you slowly cool them off with water on the underside of the dog, not drenching them all over or putting ice up the bum !  will be keeping a thermometer in my car from now on !  Cooling off too quickly can put the animal into shock..  Clinical Shock is the killer..  I pray we will never be in that position again.
