haikou44. I meant to ask,of course you do not need to post and answer. Are your dogs PURE DDR lines? 100% I doubt it....

by haikou44 on 04 December 2004 - 20:12

I think you all have nothing better to do with your time an dbe nasty to newbies like myself.Apparently we are notallowed to have strong opinions about dogs unless we have had them for what 20-30 years? I had west german show line shepherds before and the onegot sick every time she got inthe car no matter when you fed her,and the second(both actually) would not chase anything if life depended on it much less retrieve.I had belonged to usa a few years ago and had started pedigree research back then-not just recently. So for me I would not pay 2 cents toever have a west german showline dog ever again as they were not what I think a gsd should be.And one was by VA Cash von Wildstiegerland if you need to have names, the other was by a mark von haus beck son and as to why I dont have any resue dogs guess what? I am still in an aprtment so I can't have any dogs (doh homer sheesh).I will be moving to my new place on 10 acrsein another state in another week and then Iwill be able to have dogs. You should not make ass-sumptions about someone you knownothing about. My group meant to be for fun (ever hear the word) and for support of peole who like the same type of dogs. I am personally fgoing to be getting a pup that is 100 % czech( but guess what they go back to ddr lines ) and one for my daughter that is 50% ddr and 50% czech. as for % ages I thought you should know tolook at the dog first and pedigree second.LOL At any rate Iam having no problems getting people to joinmy group.I am not trying to be a form like this but a friendly place for peole to go and hang out that like the same dogs .Last tiem I checked Ilived in a free country and we can associate with whom we choose and have "clubs". Anyways keep on telling people whatever you want about me.I will not respond to any more postings here as ther eis no point.I have better things to do like work online and get ready to move

Yeh - like with some sort of sledgehammer - where's Blitz?

Somebody told me they saw her at a coffee shop with wild and Dr.Ron.........

Morning King and Peter, this is the first I've read this thread and now that I've posted to it I hope Wild doesn't jump in with one of her expert opinions on DDR dogs. It seems she only reads my posts on this board and just has to have something to say about each of them and me too. Anyway, I'm trying to visit an area breeder with some working lines, guess they are DDR's, but can't make it for a month or 2. I like their primitive look and that's meant as a compliment. Any good websites for DDR dogs that I could take a look at? Is yours up yet, Mr. King Tut? Tell me - is it true that DDR's are much higher drive than showlines, not trying to be a smartie, just asking. Blitz wants to play 24/7 and sleeps with one eye open, he never stops, will chase and retrieve a ball or frisbee until he drops and he can leap tell buildings in a single bound. He's a big dog, maybe 27", clost to 100 lbs I guess, but he seems very agile. He's 100% showlines and seems to bm to have plenty of drive and I'm not sure I'd want to live with a GSD that had anymore, he drives me nuts most of the time. Is he different than some of the other showlines or is my definition of drive not the same as yours? Cheers.
