I could care less what YR's avatar is.  I am not a McCain follower but hey this board is based on free expression and I respect YR's or anyone else's right to express themself.  If I don't like a post or an avatar I can move on and so can you.  Also, YR has been a long time poster that many who come here know personally.  She is the real deal and I like a lot her GSDs.  While I don't agree with her on everything, she is not a phony and does not post here to generate useless controversy or chaos. So don't get hysterical over her post, it won't hurt you, it is a harmless expression of an opinon. And it's no big deal, unless you have another purpose in mind.  I view any newbie who comes on here that nobody knows anything about (or knows of any of their GSDs) and rants on and on over nothing as completely inappropriate. This whole topic line is rediculous, redundant and bizarre. 

I will totally second that TWO MOONS : )

It's not uncommon for thread's to be off topic including politic's.   Participate if you have something to say, or find a thread you do want to participate in.    But don't show up bitching about a damned Avatar.   

Your allowed to disagree...  If you can't play nicely then expect other's to react in kind.

Your surely welcome here as is anyone.   And it's ultimately up to Oli what fly's and what get's lost.

I think it was in bad taste to have PM'd anyone asking them to remove their logo or avatar. I wouldn't consider that any more than I'd walk up to someone's door and ask them to remove the political sign supporting XXX candidate from their yard. I've found many avatars/logos offensive here. That's that person's choice and an expression of them, their belief and their consciinse. Prior to Y.R.'s McCain logo she had a pic of her and one of her GSD's.

Regardless, that's a personal preference and I'm not a P.C. person. Nor do I believe in sugar coating the truth.

There's something else you need to consider. This is a GSD board, true. That doesn't mean that life revolves around the GSD. There are other issues in life. We are all individuals with our own points of view. It's also an election year and opinions on candidates and parties run as strong as opinions on the differences between AmBred GSD's, Showline GSD's and Working line GSD's. That, too, is all political.

That goes for you, too.  If you want to post something about childcare or roof repairs, post it.  Those who can help and do have knowledge and want to help will respond.  Those that have no knowledge or suggestions will not.  Post OT for "off topic" in the title.  I did.  Some may have gotten a chuckle out of it.  Nobody responded.  Not one post.  Many views but not one post.  It really didn't require a response and I hope they got a "chuckle" out of it.  It was a "fishing' story.  Others have posted about pitbull stories on Animal Planet.  Many have posted about BSL in various states.  Those that have something to say regarding it will.

Working hard and being able to keep more of our money to support our GSD "habit" would be a big issue. Taking away the little bit of money that we do have to support our GSD "habit" is a huge no-no for a lot of people.

Having those funds taken away to support those who refuse to get an education or work...that's another story.

Yes, it's a GSD "board".  There's more to life than just the GSD.  There's supporting the GSD and preventing the unnecessary breeding/puppymill sales of GSD's. (and other breeds.)

There's jobs and health and child rearing.  Homes to take care of and people who work hard for that and don't need their money going to someone who wants to spend their drug money earnings on "Grills" and "Bling" and "Caddies" and live in "public housing" that we pay (not to mention medical insurance) while they're doing that because it's easier than getting an education and *****gasp***** a JOB!

Yes, there is more to life than the GSD. But this is not the place for it. That's why I also frequent several audio boards, and moderate a BMW M3 forum. If it were up to me, the politics on this board would disappear faster than donuts at a police convention.

Yes.  I'm sure all the topics there conform.
