One of the things I like about this board is that there are some OT threads. One-stop shopping? As long as the thread title includes "OT" and some indication of the actual topic, I don't think its a probem. If nothing else its sometimes interesting to learn what the GSD world-at-large thinks about certain issues. Also, due to the broad spectrum of personalities and professions monitoring here, there's a lot of help and information available on this board for things completely unrelated to GSD's. There doesn't seem to be a shortage of server space, (THANX OLI! :-) so a few OT threads here and there don't jam up the works like they might elsewhere.

All things considered and trolls aside. This is a great forum IMO.

Then I guess Ravenhawk that you should spend some time developing a board where only GSD talk is allowed.  One that you can control.

You are some piece of work.  I don't mind that my tax dollars go to help those who are legitimately disabled or veterans.  I'm in a damn chair and I still work as much as I can and guess what?  I still have to pay taxes.

I worked.  I saved.  I planned.  I never expected to become disabled and have to use my Social Insecurity either.

I'm not going to disclose the vehicle I drive.  It's almost embarrassing but it runs good and is in good repair and is post 1997.  I keep up with maintenance..

Don't live in public housing.  Guess that comes from working and planning. Don't live on public aid though they say I'd qualify.  Do have medic-air.  Comes with SSD and SSI.  Big damn deal.  I spent most of what I saved and worked for for medical bills during that two years.

I have an education that allows me to get by.  A couple of my children are getting a better one and working their asses off to do it.  No student loans.

Helps that they can live at home and do it.

Yeah.  Some of us really do "get it".

sure it has nothing to do with me. as for public housing not sure what your on about there either.....

my husband and i own(well the bank doeslol) alovely 13 room antique on acres of land. i guess i planned and worked hard.when pointinig a finger there are always three pointing back! perhaps you'd like to rent space in my 2 story barn.

sorry that wasn't called for...when someone steps on my toes i step back.you don't even know me,nor do i think i care to know you.sounds as though you have issues to sort out that have nothing to do with me!

No chip on my shoulder.  I'm basing my statements here on what is posted here and your PM's to me and my responses to them.  I told you I would view your thread when you PM'd me and asked me to and I told you that you might not like what I had to say.

Yes that was uncalled for.  The place I own (the bank doesn't) isn't quite as big as yours.  It suffices our needs.  It's my third wholely owned (not financed) property and I'm a year younger than you.  And, I didn't have any political (legal or otherwise) help.

Maybe you should go slumming.  Take a drive through "the projects" aka government housing and see how our tax dollars are really being spent.   Pay particular attention to the SUV's and some of the cars in the parking spaces.  Quite an eye opener.

Ah Lurkin,

With that said unless there is any new commentary please refrain from posting to me and i reneg my offer

in my pm to lend an ear if you were truly upset. So be it.

Blessed Be.

ROFL!  Way to "spin" it, Ravenhawk.

What you tried to do was get me to come on to your thread and post something supportive of your view.  Refer to your first PM to me.  I couldn't do that.

What you did do (on top of all the PM's) was post another PM to me titled "Peace", then posted on the board afterwards saying you didn't know why I have a chip on my shoulder.

That's trying to be "nice".  I've had about enough of your kind of nice and your spin.

By the way, I happen to agree with Preston about Yellowrose.  Yellowrose has a heart as big as Texas, and life has handed her some very tough roads, Yet she is always still willing to help those in need. If you only befriend those who believe the way you do, your circle of friends will be limited, with nothing to talk about or ideas to exchange.

Oh what an evil web we weave.

Triodegirl,

I am sooo glad you don't have control of this board.

This board has life!!   It's not cold and dead as many over moderated board's are.

Your participating aren't you?

No one is twisting your arm and your free to express your thought's and feeling's aren't you?

Your arguement is mute.

Justlurking,

I agree some spin is in play here in my opinion.    I do not have it figured out yet, but this shouldn't take long.

Group hug ..............:)

I'm with Two Moons and 1doggie. Variety is one of the elements that makes this board so cool.
