Please define ‘hard work’. Hard physical labor or long hours in the office? What ‘creator’? He who creates the work, or the Almighty? I doubt the latter is into microeconomics! All citizens profit when government lives within its economic means and observes right balance between social welfare etc and free market enterprise. Not sure what Bob means by ‘legislated wealth’.
Define ‘socialism’, Niinja. Most here only deal in absolutes: in the real world nothing comes in black or white, only in infinite shades of grey. Economically, Russia and China are doing very nicely.
Wise words from Johnson, Micky, but candidates will say anything to get elected. If Obama goes overboard well, in four years time … Patriot Act is sheer abomination! Hennecke may be exaggerating things in that first paragraph, Ugly, but seems pretty well spot on with the rest – I’ve repeatedly said the same.
I agree that most of our problems stem from the fact that there are simply too many of us, Kerschy – well, far too many for all to aspire to the same materialistic Western lifestyle; requisite natural resources simply don’t exist, nor is it in any way sustainable.
Sahara is pretty sparsely populated too, Ugly! I fail to see relevance of most of your other remarks. Which Rothchild? Can’t be the one that profited from Napoleon’s downfall! ‘Stages of Collapse’? You seem to overlook, as for idiot Bush at G20 Summit, how at present ‘capitalism’ leaves a wee bit to be desired as well! Whitehead and Thain etc, in more extreme forms, merely reiterate my previous remarks. What does it take to breach the ‘reality divide’!
