I hope you guys are still celebrting when our taxes go right through the roof ...and a millions of people in the middle East are thrown back under the bus to suffer under Muslim extremists. Very few of our boys overseas are celebrating this morning.

Obama faces some huge dilemmas now that he's been elected. He owes a HUGE debt to the far left liberals who placed him in office. On the other hand, if he raises taxes to fund their programs this miserable economy that has so many of us wondering if we can make it through to "better times"... will take a nose dive.

Give me back the Reagan years, and the 10 that followed, any day.

LIz

Yes, Belgium is okay I like it,  I live in a Village about 8 kms from the City, But the City is the smallest in Belgium

By the way every Village in Belgium known as a Dorp and  has its own Church, no matter how small it is

In my road which there are only four houses, one being a farm so pretty quiet, and then a maze of country lane's and cycle paths with go through the Apple and pear Orchards, I can go on a Bus Free to the city being an Oldster as they say over here, and to get on a train and go anywhere in Belgium lets say to the other side to the Coast will cost me about  12 Euros so long as i show my Bus pass, so thats very good

My brother lives with me the house is half his,

MissBeeb, No i am not married and you are welcome if you are a well off Lady and could get interested in the Sport Of Long Distance Racing Pigeons, because we need a paying partner in this Sport as it is a very expensive Hobby,

And of course Interested in the Sport of Schutzund of which we train three times a week at the Clubs more so in the Winter or off season of the Pigeons But  even then twice a week

Plus, you could teach me a bit of French, as the French speaking part of Belgium is only 12 kms away

I am sure that Obama will prove to be an honest politician.  Under the Al Capone definitition, that is one who STAYS bought.

No, Bob, now it STOPS.  That was my point.  Of course you are entitled to your opinion.  Just know that when you do spout racist, stereotyped drivel you're going to be called out on it.  Just like Obama was with Wright.  Don't care if he wasn't sitting in the pew the day the "God damn America" speech was given, that speech was reprehensible and you either be like Bob McKown and "stand on your beliefs" and don't change, or you be a man and say you're right, that is not acceptable, in fact it's disgusting and I will not be a part of it.

So we either grow, learn, and change.  Or we don't.   But if people don't speak up when they see wrong, the wrong will continue.

keepthefaith, I agree with you wholeheartedly on McCain.  It's good to have the "real" McCain back.

WTF is wrong with some of you people? You profess to love this country and be patriots, but you have convicted Obama as a bad leader before he has even taken office. He won, get over it and stop belly aching until you have something to complain about.  Those who are pushing Obama under the bus most likely helped put Dubya back in for his second term. How good was your judgement 4 years ago?

Facts - Obama won more than the necessary number of electoral votes and about 55% of the voting Americans said they want change in this country and felt Obama would be the better leader to enact that change. What did you expect? Most of America would put in another republican after Bush? How many chances do you think one party gets? McCain would hang his head in shame if he read this thread.

I didnt  set in the congregation of a minister who,s main battle cry was "God dam the USA" and" Whitey" for 20 years

As I read the above comments, it tells you why Obama won so decisively - it was a victory of "hope" over "fear-mongering".  Interestingly, it was what Reagan offered which caused Americans to want to vote for him.

The last several election cycles have seen fear-mongering on a whole host of issues: inflaming racial tensions (Willy Horton),  soft on crime, decline of moral values, gay marriages, liberalism,  terrorism, tax increases, etc. The Republicans tried it again this go around saying that Obama would negotiate with our enemies, tax and spend, lack of experience, etc.

The American people rejected the fear-mongering this time.

The notion that after the disastrous eight years under Bush and a Congress that was Republican through much of it, we should not hold the Republicans accountable is laughable. What does one need to have happened before the people who voted Republican just say "enough is enough"?

These days I put voting for president right up there with jumping off a bridge blind-folded. You never know whether you'll hit water or rocks till you get there.

Ditto, KTF.

55% of voting Americans have spoken; the majority won.  That's the end of it until 2012 when you  harbingers of gloom and doom will get another bite at the apple. Until then suck it up and move on as most of Amrerica has done for the last 8 years. Otherwise your comments might sound to some like sour grapes from poor losers.

Tess you show your lack of common sense to think that speech was only made once... THAT is laughable and explains his ellection to a point... Stupid is a s stupid does.
