Pretty close Falcon, in the 4th there was 2 DDR and 2 west dogs.  Here's a great female I once owned with a pretty solid Czech/Slovak pedigree.  http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/470328.html  She has a litter on ground now at http://www.liberatoreshepherds.com/F-litter.htm with a nice west/Czech retired Police K9.

Here are 2 males that I really like....

Galant z Pohranicni Straze..

http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/437550.html

http://www.eurosportk9.com/galant.asp

and Ozzy Barnero...who placed 7th at the WUSV in 2007...

Falcon12 ... good luck working your female. By the look of her pedigree it looked like she would be loaded with prey drive, so I was right on that...hehe.  My tip to you is make sure you have a good club to work with and then go all the way.

I love the Czech dogs. I like their temperment, looks and drives. Everyone likes different types of dogs. We have 4 dogs.....a showline male...Aiko vom Dukenheim "Aiko" ...a DDR/showline male..Just Tonka Jr vom Dukenheim "TJ"...a Czech female..Aida vom Dukenheim "Xena"...and a DDR female....Just Fame vom Dukenheim  "Brix"....I just like the Czech dogs the best.

Jyl, I agree, these are nice looking WL GSDs.  I like Galant's look the best from the photos available.  These dogs have some strong temperament behind them and are serious dogs for serious people.

Preston,

I must agree with you also. I am glad that when I got my first GSD I didnt get a Czech dog. I started out with showlines. I am glad that I did. I was able to learn alot about the sport. When I got Xena I had done alot of research about the the Czech dogs. I am glad that I did. Otherwise I would have been in a world of hurt. She is a great dog but I do agree that the Czech dogs are not for the novice handlers. They tend to be strong dogs and are very serious.
