Red Sable

I've had such a sheltered life, I didn't even know what that was.

Maybe the dogs only look blue through the haze?

Just kidding,  kitkat.

Shelley, I used to agree with you 100%, and I know that lots and lots of people smoke pot.  I never used to care too much especially when people stayed inside their house and smoked it.  I have an issue with people that smoke pot and drive cars.  Every pot head I speak too says they drive better "stoned"....Hmm, if you are high, buzzed, stoned whatever you want to call it you are under the influence of drugs.  It amazes me that people can understand that alcohol impairs your ability to drive, but they think it's ok to get high and drive.  I find myself educating these bowlpackers on DUID -driving under the influence of drugs.  Like I said I never thought pot was a big deal until I went to serve a search warrant on a marijuana grow op last year. The suspect opened fire through a closed front door killing  a fellow narcotics detective and my friend who was standing next to me. Two months later another detective in a neighboring city was killed while making an undercover buy of marijuana.

I am sure that there are many people on this forum thinking:  "hey, I drive better when I'm high because I'm more careful and I go slower."  Like may topics on this board you will never be able to explain it to certain people.  Shelley, I went to High School in the 70's, I can tell you that pot today is much different than it was 30 years ago.  Todays pot is much more potent, especially the hydroponic stuff.  Also, where I am it is commonly smoked with crack.  It's called a woo bang or ting ting.

I realize lots of people smoke pot and it's not the crime of the century.  My biggest issue is with the dope dealers.

Jim,

ROFLMAO!!!!   I would not have noticed it, had you not pointed it out.  Now, yes, I know lots of folks who smoked pot "back in the day."  Guess what?   There was NEVER a child around!!  It's called endangering a minor in some states.    I don't care what was actually smoked in the thing.  That photo, with all its components, speaks VOLUMES!!

I always appreciate a good laugh, but this has already become  bathos.  These people really should make good on their claim that they were taking a hiatus.  They ALL need to get off the internet for a good long time, in support of their Fifth Amendment rignt, if nothing else.

Driving under the infulence of anything is begging for disaster in my book. Not having tried pot since I was in my teens (yes, they did have TV back then) I suppose I am naive about the new and improved versions, 40-something years down the trail. Hell, the old weak, 60's version scared the crap out of me. My biggest problem with people wishing to indulge in the stuff in the privacy of their own homes, (no kids present!) is that so many of the folks who claim it doesn't affect them negatively actually fail to achive anything of positive consequence in their lives. No. they didn't hurt anybody (but themselves) didn't kill anybody or get anyone else addicted, maybe didn't move on to the harder stuff, but what successes have they enjoyed in their lives? A lot of the peole I know around here can't point to much. They don't have the motivation to excel at anything, barely hold grunge jobs doing the same thing day in day out for 30 years, passed up for advancement and perfectly content with that for the most part as long as they can still afford their pot and beer. No, not everybody falls into that category, and maybe the people that do would have with or without the pot, but I can't buy that rationale wholesale. Some are really pretty bright, or would be if they straightened up... but they never will. Wasted lives IMO.

The scariest part has to be the lengths people will go to to defend their drug use and sales of the crap. My old flight instructor got blown right out of the Northern CA skies with a ground-to-air missile just for flying over the pot fields. Granted, he was flying th DEA around in his Cessna 182... for $20/hr., with infra red aerial photography equipment. Still, it shocked the hell out of all of us. I worry for every law enforcement and emergency personnel I know.

I agree that a hiatus for the parties in question is a darned good idea. Who knows what other less-than-flattering photography and court records might find its way here? LISTEN to Auntie Nia. She knows of what she speaks when it comes to the law! I'd sure hate to be sitting on the other side of the table from her in a court room. Ha ha ha. (Pass me the Depends) I'm thinking none of the parties involved can afford to hire her even if she would agree to defend them... fat chance.  LOL This is not a proper venue for this kind of thing anyway and we are all tired of it.

Having had a real boring ,life compared some of you Guys, and never as much taken a pep pill all my life, i wonder what taking Pot or whatever other things some people indulge in has to do with a Dog Forum
There are a few sad and ill adjusted people on this forum who are in it just to get noiced ,otherwise they would die a life of loneliness, Some people really are a sad lot
Steve
