We are training tomorrow!!!!!!!

Nia, maybe I should consider an Airedale for my next dog?

Well, SOMEBODY should!! Wouldn't hurt one of those Malinuts to get a dog that's not so spaz! LOL You WILL have to go to Germany to find a good one, though. Although, there is a guy in the US who has sold TO Germany and the dog was titled there. 'Course, he had breeding stock from that German kennel...

Well, shoot!  I wanna come!

can't though tomorrow.  and I don't have any dog to work yet.  my female is due in 3 weeks and I'm hoping one of her pups is my new Schutzhund potential!

Where do you train?  and who comes down from Port Angeles?  that is where I live too.

Do you ever train 2 days in a row?   I could plan on staying over in the camper and training for 2 days when I come, since it's such a long way away.   I probably won't see you guys until Spring, unless I come down to watch, which sounds fun too.

Of course, come on down and just watch. :-) We do sometimes train 2 days on the weekend, usually when trials are coming up, or when one or more of our long-distance members are coming in for the weekend from Idaho or Oregon.

I have always had 4-wheel drive and I STILL stayed in!! Did you notice all the SUVs by the side of the road, or hung up on the snow piled up as "meridians"? 4-wheel drives and folks who have no clue=BAD combination. Those of us who know our (and others') limitations stayed home! LOL

My goodnness people actuauly go on to the training field with their dogs not informing anyone of Parvo till after the fact.. How can you prevent this from happening.? That's off the wall scary..

Yes, it IS scary! The fact is that we all simply put a lot of trust in each other to (a) care for their own dogs enough to keep them from disease-exposure and (b) to care enough about everyone else's not to knowingly expose friends and club members' dogs to disease. Some clubs require that members and guests provide proof of vaccinations before their dogs can even step on the field. Most rely on trust. Every time you go to training, attend a trial or show, or attend a seminar, you are trusting others to take responsibility for their dogs' health, as well as yours. That's just life in the dog community. :-) There may always be a an irresponsible reprobate in the bunch, but, because the schutzhund community is a small community, their identities, generally, become known.
