DO NOT BUY A PUPPY FROM THIS COMPANY! They will take your money and you will never hear from them again. We purchased a puppy from Kraftwerk K9 Inc for our twenty-two year old son for Christmas. We put a deposit down on October 13, 2008. We talked in great length to Wayne Curry and were told the puppy was going to be trained for one full month- that we paid extra for. Three weeks later the puppy was delivered, so he never did get the full month of training we agreed upon with the company. Kraftwerk advised us that the puppy would be able to follow the handler on lead, come when called, and sit, stay, and lay down with command/hand signals. In addition, he would be accustomed to the crate. The description of the dog given to us was: red male, solid structure and excellent size, broad chest and head, very guidable and sound. They told us he had unshakeable nerves with excellent stability on different flooring surfaces and varying environments, and very good ability to bond with adults and children. The dog we received was not familiar with ANY of the commands, very nervous, and had difficulty bonding with children. My son followed the video step by step, and the dog was nowhere near what he should have been. He did not recognize ANY training techniques from the video. We purchased and paid for training and were told the dog would have a basic level of training, which he did not. I called Kraftwerk and could NEVER get in touch with Wayne. I left my name and number several times and never received a phone call. The only person I could ever speak with was the girl who takes the photographs for their website. She informed me that normally they only train 5 dogs at a time. However, during the time I purchased this dog, there were over 25 dogs in training. Also, she said the trainers come and go, and the company could not inform me who specifically trained the puppy we purchased. I was charged $2,500 for this dog, including 1 month of training. After multiple unsuccessful attempts to receive any kind of recourse from the company, I was forced to dispute the charge with my credit card company. After being contacted by my credit card company, Kraftwerk refunded me only $1,000. Due to gross misrepresentation, I feel that Kraftwerk should have reimbursed me much more. If a employee of Kraftwerk reads this complaint and would like to take the time to actually resolve this situation, the dog we purchased was Gunner.

Steve 1.. Of course I vaccinate for parvo. Why would you think I would not ? If it's because I said some time it just happens  to the best of them ??  well it does happen , Do some research pups can be vaccinated at the suggested times and still not have enough resistance to it  until over 16 weeks .That's a wide open window for parvo to get a hold of a pup. If you have another younger litter it's a good chance they well get it also. It only take one person with a tiny amount of the virus on them to spread it to a whole kennel..Once again I do not know any one from this kennel nor anything about their dogs.

I have not posted in some time, but I read the board often.  The Kraftwerk topic is painful for me today.

Some of you may remember my posts about Wayne Curry.  Three years ago we purchased a trained 2 1/2 year old from him, a KKl1, SchH1, son of Larus von Batu.  He arrived very sick and after several months of tests was diagnosed with severe inflammatory bowel disease.  We received no compensation from Curry, just denials and attitude.  After six months of dealing with our credit card company, the BBB, local WA officials, the ASPCA, and anyone else we thought could help, we gave up and just tried to care for our boy, who possessed all those characteristics that are best in a GSD.

It has been three very difficult years, both emotionally and financially.  We tried everything, but in the end we ran out of options.  Our vet told us there was nothing more we could do for him.  So on Friday, we put our poor sick boy down.  It was the last kind thing we could do for him.  He was five years old.  My husband and I are beyond heartbroken.  I wish to hell the needle had gone into Wayne Curry.

DoubleX,

I am deeply sorry for your loss. No one should ever have to deal with that kind of tragic, painful heartbreak.

May he rest in peace.

My heart goes out to you, DoubleX, but please take comfort in knowing you gave him a wonderful, full life, as short as it was.

My condolences, DoubleX. It is always sad to those these wonderful friends, the only unconditional love and loyalty that a person can buy. This is an example of why people who are afraid of going to hell SHOULD be afraid.

Thank you for the kind thoughts.

We received a card today from our primary vet with messages from each of her staff.  They had all worked with us for three years to try to save him, and they all loved our big boy.

It's not good to know everyone who works for your vet by name and all their histories.  It means you have spent way too much time there.  It made us both cry -- again.
