Of our two Dogs one is looked after by my brother He handles him on the ScHh training field and has done for the last two months I previously did from 8 weeks old but due to circumtances i let him take him over though i still miss handling him

He feeds him and takes him out, and keeps his kennel and run clean, in fact he is the only handler of the dog,

I give him a pet when he is in his pen and nothing else

The Dog took about 6 weeks to accept him fully as his trainer, he always wanted to come back to me on the training field, but i just turned my back on the dog and walked away, He does not now this last couple of weeks come to me which is good

Dogs will look to the person who feeds it to them, they are the one they look too

But that does not mean they will work for them

Dogs to me are funny creatures, but very intellegent ones

you can make of this next sentence as you will but i believe  it to be a very true one after watching handlers on the field and there dogs, and in general dozens of pet dogs of people

i will put it in capitols so that notice is taken of it but of course some may not agree as is there right

A DOG CAN LOVE IT'S OWNER, BUT NOT RESPECT THEM

All of the above is true, in most cases and that's why I wouldn't recomend it...but success is possible. My male could care less about bonding with my pet female. I too could care less if he dominates her, she is a pet and will never be on a field earning points. As soon as I step outside, my dog sees me and nothing else. However due to life changes, as of today, my male is coming to live inside. Something I'm sure that will make him happier, keep me holding the vac and my kitten... oh boy.
