Although I am relatively new to german shepherds and schutzhund training I must say it is looking to be a ruthless and vicous sport. This morning I was looking at the news letter I get from leerburgs web site and decided to look over his forum. One section of his forum he shows returned checks of people who have failed to pay him for product. and he also offers a short commentary of the slime balls they are in his eyes. From a christian point of view it seems that what he is doing is quite unethical as he could be sued for slander by those he is making disparging comments about on a public web site. Even though one must sign in to read these comments they are readily available to the public. I see no wrong in publishing the names and adresses of people who have cheated him out of money yet I do believe he has no legal right to publish the bank information of those individuals for anyone to use for illegal purposes. So shall I do business with someone who actually has no ethical restraints when they feel they have been wronged . This man has even admitted to following those people who owe him money

I'd follow people who owe me $ too but not go quite as far as he does. I don't read his board anymore or do business with him, so no worries, nothing to cry about here.

I have a friend that is on Ed’s list. The problem is my friend is dead. His death is the reason Ed didn’t get his money. My friend’s widow has written to Ed several times and sent a copy of the death certificate to him. Ed has sent her back some of the most awful, bile filled emails I have ever read. Since my friend died before the internet was popular this is the only trace of him online for his two sons to find.

Thanks Ed.

So, why don't they just pay the debt, unless they dispute it?

i pretty much agree with 4pack. I would hunt people down who owed me money yet not as far as he has taken it. When i first got in to the GSD and sport world about 10 years ago I shopped through him even being nieve and buying videos. Now learning there are much more informative helpful tools and equipment out there. I no longer do business with leerburg.

I have purchased from ed several times and I am getting the impression that what is good for ed is only good for ed. Any one who runs an internet business or mail orde business and send product before the check has cleared is a poor businessman and will get scammed.

so you start a thread asking if you should do business with leerburg because of some reason, then on the same day, just an hour later you say you have purchased from leerburg several times and have an unfavorable impression of Ed????

I think you start things just to keep the crap going  in here and have no real motive than that.  People may not like Ed, that's no suprise to anyone, but besides the people that have an obsession with the man, his business practices have been very favorable to anyone i've come across that has ordered from him.  Myself included.  No billing problems, things arrive practically the next day, no quality problems, and if there is replacements are sent out right away.

So if you plan on trying to screw with somebody over the interent, then no I probably wouldn't order from Leerburg.  If you find something you like or want and you do business like most other normal ethical people, you'll probably be very happy with the whole experience.

Nothing wrong with publishing info on people that didn't pay him the money. The check bounce due to being NSF, so the account most likely is not used any more, so publishing the bank info won't lead to any online fraud. If you go to any restaurant or local store you will see that they display of all the NSF check they ever got, what he is doing is not much different except stating exactly what he is thinking about him. Business is a dirty sport J.

I have NEVER had a problem with ANY purchase from this man. The harness I got from him was of superior quality. Couldn't be happier. It arrived in less than a week, and it was around Christmas time.

I had a video that didn't work, and when I called, they just sent out a new video, no questions asked.

Ed has been a bit much to me, and a complete jerk to my ex girlfriend, but that has nothing to do with his products.

As far as the people that have screwed him out of money, I am fine with him posting that they are idiots. Should have paid the man.

I highly recommend his harnesses.

I was going to stay out of all this Leerburg junk. I don't know him and thus far, I have not done any business with him.
Now Raymond, you might be a nice guy and I suspect that you are, but your post is ignorant.
Writing NSF checks go directly toward the persons lack of integrity and, it's a crime.
In my state, passing an NSF check for $250 or more, is a Felony, punishable by up to 5 years in prison, and/or a $5000 fine. Arguably, it is a crime of moral turpitude, such as theft.
Who do you think ultimately pays the bill for these crimes? We do! Company losses get passed onto the consumers, so folks like me have to pay more for their goods and services, all because of the lowlifes that commit these crimes. Of course, much of out society no longer understands or cares about personal responsibility or consequences for their actions, or even know what integrity is..... our prisons are full of such wasted pieces of human flesh.
What Ed is doing is no big deal. Steal from me and you might start to think Ed is more like Santa or the Tooth Ferry.
BTW, in a book that I trust that you read from time to time, there is a list of 10 things we are not supposed to do. One of those listed "naughty things" is stealing.    Continued to Page 2.....
