Bob-O

by Bob-O on 13 February 2009 - 12:02

Hmmm, so this is a "bitch" thread. Jerry Garcia and crew summed it up for me:

Must be getting early, clocks are running late.
Paint by numbers morning sky - looks so phony.
Dawn is breaking everywhere, light a candle, curse the glare.
Draw the curtains, I don't care, 'cause it's alright.
I will get by, I will get by, I will get by, I will survive.
I see you got your fist out, say your piece and get out.
Yes I get the gist of it, but it's alright.
Sorry that you feel that way - the only thing there is to say.
Every silver lining's got a touch of grey.

It's a lesson to me, the ables and the bakers and the cee’s.
The ABC's, we all must face - try to keep a little grace.
It's a lesson to me, the delta's and the east and the freeze.
The ABC's, we all think of, try to keep a little love.

I know the rent is in arrears, the dog has not been fed in years.
It's even worse than it appears, but, it's alright.
Cow is giving kerosene, kid can't read at seventeen.
The words he knows are all obscene, but, it's alright.

The shoe is on the hand it fits, there's really nothing much to it.
Whistle through your teeth and spit, 'cause, it's alright.
Oh well a touch of grey, kind of suits you anyway.
That's all I have to say, but, it's alright.

Draw the curtains, I don't care, 'cause it's alright.
I will get by, I will get by, I will get by, I will survive.

Regards,
Bob-O

One of the few Grateful Dead tunes I ever liked. Next time you see Wavy Gravy and the rest of the Pranksters tell them Shelley says hi and the Thorazine worked. If Leary is there, WG can't be far away.
Can't wait for New Rider of the Purple Sage to hit Penns Peak (concert hall at work).
Memm-o-rees. LOL

West L.A Fadeaway is on the In The Dark album along with A touch Of Grey.
Can't claim to be a Dead Head, but I'm old enough if I wanted to.
Also enjoyed some of the New Riders.
Memories are about all thats left anymore for me.
Thats my complaint for the day, growing old sucks.

This could have all been handled here.

by beetree on 14 February 2009 - 14:02

That would have required the use of some brain cells..............but first they have to be found. Keep on Truckin' down that Yellowbrick Road!

It's about more then we think .If he only had a brain. He landed with a few targets in mind .Look how he did ugly and laughed about it . That was on day one. The dark side of the moon is where it comes from. We need some rocket fuel to send it along to where it came from. E T go home !!
