the Ol'Line Rebel

by the Ol'Line Rebel on 22 June 2005 - 20:06

Ulk - Sounds good to me! As far as appearances, I was always impressed w/Quell v. Fredeholz, sort of the founder of the Hessian kennels in US. Perhaps he (as Hessian itself did) eventually led to the "overangulation" (or as I call it, way too long legs) that typifies "American" dogs, but he was still of the old school and looked great.

I already have him Randy vom Grafental.....Brains,brawns and beauty. What more could one ask for......If I were to go back in time a little it would be 4. Don v Rolandsteich 3.Lord v Gleisdreieck 2. Neuman's Jim 1. Bodo vom Grafental all for the same reason, because itis what the dog of today should be. But of course this is just my opinion. Love them block heads.......

I agree with charlie.. Bodo v Grafental was one neat dog. I knew him personally from the age of 6 till the day he died. Very cool under pressure.. serious as a heart attack.. yet great with kids.. no dog aggression.. aloof.. the definition of a german shepherd dog..

I agree with Charlie.. Bodo v Grafental was a really neat dog. I knew him personally from 6 years of age till the day he died. He was cool under pressure.. serious as a heart attack, yet great with kids.. no dog aggression.. could take him anywhere, anytime.. aloof, yet approachable.. the definition of a true german shepherd dog.

Fero, cause I would get rich as heck off him and would be known forever!!! Actually I haven't even seen him on video. from dogs that I have seen some video of, I liked Gildo Korbelbach, he was impressive I wonder if any of these old German guys secretly kept any semen from some old dogs? And are just keeping it frozen till one day. I am totally uneducated on frozen. When did this start?

This is an interesting topic As for me it would be HILL VOM FARBENSPIEL The GSD nearest to perfection Very sad, I could not see him as a Sieger

It would be my first. Hi-Croft Milly. She never went to a show, or an obedience trial. But she was capable of excelling at both. She had a job, a job that a lot of people overlook. Her job was to be companion, protector, a shoulder to lean on, and an excellent example of our beloved breed for the public to adore and open their eyes to the world of quality GSD's. She lived to be 14 years old and she touched the innermost soul of everyone who met her. She will never be forgotten and I will never be able to replace her.
