Vom Brunhaus

by Vom Brunhaus on 13 December 2006 - 15:12

I could not have Hill V Farbenspiel so I settled for one of his sons, very happy with him.

Trailrider

If I could have only one, it would be my best friend Tell v Big Sky. My constant companion and protector. He would rather be with me than eat, the feeling was mutual. Good with family and most anyone he met as long as there was no threat. I miss him every day, just thinking of him can still bring a quick tear to my eye. He died in my arms at 2 months shy of 11 after a cancer operation when he through a clot... Tell too was German/American.

Rebel, I'm glad to see you return after a long absence. Don't anyone laugh, but my dog of choice would be Lasso di val Sol. Topline, underline, angulation. Old school and perfect. Gooner, Gildo vom Körbelbach is anot a bad choice either. Bob-O

As a breeder I would deffinitelly like to have Lasso di val Sole . That was a dog who every real GSD lover should highgly respect. As a person I would allways go for my Buddy, white shepherd /GSD mix, one ear newer went up,not so eye pleasing, BUT, this dog would die for me and my family (proved it).

There is no finer dog than this one - he's the one I would own :) http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/470542.html

Sunrise, I'm with you on the Bernd pick.

Kenan-- Are you saying that your dog literally died protecting you and your family, or that he protected them with such gusto, it could have led to his death? No matter what, he can never be topped.

by JochenVGW on 14 December 2006 - 18:12

Well, the dog I would want is my own - Jochen v Godinghofer Weg :) Of the others, a few names come to mind. Nastor v. Wolfsburger Schloss, Cliff Huhnegrab, Mutz, Bernd, Bodo.. of course :)

by ProudShepherdPoppa on 14 December 2006 - 18:12

My girls' sire Mauro vom Lastal. If I were to write an encyclopedia article about GSDs I would put his picture next to it.

Shelley Strohl

I would have my "Onyx" back, but this time with two good hips. Dogs from history? A male? Hmmm... I liked Brix Kapwald a lot. (Grando Schloss Veitenstein) Uwe Kirschental was a hell of a dog. A female? V-A Seffe Busecker Schloss!
