I wonder, if someone posted a thread about what color is the sky......I wonder how much bashing & drama could be gleaned from that???;) Jeeez! jh

I am impressed, you have come on here and let a few tear you up, read the posts and are willing to take sound advice (according to your opinion of "sound") and your are still here. GOOD FOR YOU, TO LOVE YOUR PUP ENOGUH11

KitKat, way to go, claiming your own, good or bad. There is not one breeder who has whelped only perfect puppies. You odviously picked a good home for this boy, she is willing to vet him and take the bs thrown here, and at the vets, looking for good advise to help her.

Enjoy your pup, and continue to ask for help here, just wade thru the BS, One of the posters here (memory and age) I think Oskar1 (if I am wrong, so sorry), may have saved my female when I asked for help she had a calcuim shortage that was causing seizures, such a simple cure and trip to the vet with a list of what to look for. So  it is worth the BS! My girl is doing Great with supplements!!

Do you know of anyone in your general area that you could ask for a referral to another vet? When my favorite vet started winding down toward retirement and shifting his patient load, I switched to my breeder's vet. She's great. You don't have to want to be best buddies with your vet but you really do need to be able to trust their judgement!nbsp

Don't worry about what she said about his appearance. My dog is a tall one, too, but he was a total stringbean--all ribs and hipbones--and he didn't start to fill out until around 18 months. He ate 8 cups of food plus a raw egg and a tablespoon of olive oil every day and he looked like a greyhound. If I went to a vet that didn't have half his family as patients, I probably would have gotten an earful about how awkward and skinny he was. I'm here to say he's now perfectly proportioned and absolutely drop-dead gorgeous. When I walk him or take him shopping, so many people stop us it's like he's a rock star. As soon as your boy stops growing and you get his diet and exercise balanced out, he'll be just fine.

Naiiik

You seem to  be more put out by some points in a post that is said rather than the true content of a post, A lot of you people asking for help regards feeding dogs Keep refering to Cups of Kibble, that is a ridiculous way of feeding a Dog, If you are not sure of how much to feed  by hand, you go by weight of kibble first then once you have it right and the dog eats it up EVERY time it is fed then you can measure it into cups or cup to make it quicker, Nothing should be fed until it eats no more, Not a Dog, a Bird or a human being, always there must be something more the subject can eat, but does not get it,

Your Vet was not far off but i am sure you took her message to you wrongly the same as you have mine Your vet said the dogs legs were under developed, and she was correct, the dog is a Pup still so its legs will not be developed yet,  It has not had the time or work to do that Plus the fact the dog does seem to be over weight and where does the weight go on around the girth and it shows, excatly the same place as a human being if weight goes on it is around the girth mostly

What you took from your vet to be a slight on your dog was the way you interprated her opinion and she being an animal expert or she would not be a qualified Vet in the first place was telling you the facts not downing your dog for its shape etc, the same as you picked up on me, i guess by the way you write your posts you are a little short on temper at best, you will not always get the praise or the answer you expect, with me you get the answer that i think is right but not in a way to make you or anyone else feel good, it is straight to the point and that is it

Never the lessYou will learn by trial and error much the same way as we all do

Sorry for the added post, last half got chopped off.

In answer to Mystere's inquiry,  I knew the vampires would be out, and sure enough, TWO of you were. AND as far as what the breeder thinks or knows what I am doing with MY DOG,,,I got that area of "MY" BUSINESS, covered. No need for you to worry. I am in contact with them on a regular basis. Alright wth you????

KitKat, my favorite coffee mug says  "Don't let the bastards wear you down". Got it from my sister years ago. I recently passed it along to a friend as I thought she needed it more than I did. But with the recent events around here, I'm wishing I had kept it. I plan to buy another and will buy a second mug and send it to you if you like. It really does help  ;-)
