11 VA males.

Ronaldo performed poorly so I am told, and still VA8.

I have to agree with Molly.  The dog was miles above the others in his performance.  He was breathtaking, even covered in mud.

Rather than focus on his winning, it is worth noting the exceptional overall quality of this class and what it says about our breeding programs.

Julie Martinez had a bitch that did amazing protection work, don't have a catalog to check her name but she was awesome and it is great to see a female work so well.

ELEVEN VA males?

Just took a peek at the working females results, as I did not go on Sunday. There were slightly more females who did not pass their bitework than those who did. For god's sake, pick the strong dogs and actually train them!  Very disappointing.

At the 2008 NASS Liedo was my favourite male, and I hoped he would take VA-1. But, Teejay had a progeny group that blew the competition away in terms of size and quality. Even during the final laps in the ring Liedo moved better than Teejay (my opinion of course) but the judge kept him in second (2) place.

Congratulations Liedo!

Liedo deserved to be Sieger again!  His movement was at a level not even approached by any other dogs in the ring.  Contrary to another post on this topic we do not penalize a dog from being sieger because he was sieger before.  That's ridiculous.  Also on another thread on the SS I see someone posting who wasn't at the show proclaiming where certain dogs should be placed( V3, V4 etc.) from a computer somewhere.  Why even have a show and judges when these knowledgable(?) people can just write in on the web board what dog should place where with out even being present at the show.  Give me a break.!

I saw Clarissa in Statesville. She is in a class by herself. Absolutely gorgeous.
