I had 1) many complaints about not finding links to do stuff and 2) cries of help from new users where to do stuff

I decided to make a single box with all the items a logged in user can do.  Hope it helps,  it will probably make it easier for new users to get used to the website.

ps. I will be making this message board a cross breed board and adding a new (empty) for GSD related issues.  this is only becuase of a design flaw of mine:

I created a multi breed messageboard for al other breeds and excluded the GSD because this board existed,   I can easily remove the exclusion of the GSD and have GSD's as a normal member as other breeds.   The data container for this ( the original ) messageboard stands alone .

So for each breed there will be 2 forums,  Cross-breed  (that is seen for every breed) and a breed-only that is local.

Regards
Oli

many times I'd like to see answers to a posting and have to search for it becasue I wan't able to get back to the board for a few days.

is it possible to add a list of recent posting to the options area?

thank you for all you do

Do you mean posts that you (as a member) have recently replied to?

Thats actually ridiculously easy for me to implement,..

So are more in favor of me to put up a box (like recent pedigrees and such) that shows the last topics you have replied to?

Will we still access the GSD forum the same? Or just pick them as your breed?

by SitasMom on 07 May 2009 - 01:05

I was thinking of posts (threads) that we started on the message board.......

I would also love to see a delete feature on the list so we could delete old pm's without having to open each on up. We could more easily delete them and give back server space....

Thank you very much for adding the spellchecker.

Who is on your avatar, he is magnificent!

Thank you Oli

Oli,

What a brilliant mind you have, I love all the improvements.    I do have a request since you are here.  I am still  stuck on Dial-up .  I live so far out in the middle of No man's Land.

I LIke to go through the classifieds, but it is very frustrating for me, because If I want to see the picture I have to click on the link, but it takes forever to load the picture and the whole new page.   If you could replace the " camera"  with a Thumbnail of the Picture that would be in the add.  It would make browsing easier, I would be able to get a glimpse of the dog, to see if it is show or work or pup.  Then, I could decide to open the page and wait for more information.

IF it is not possible, I still love the site !!

I did that for the classifieds,  now you can hover the mouse over the icon and you will download that image (you will only download images you decide to hover over).  no need to click ,  just hover.

No reason to show all the images when you can choose which to download

I want to say, the text display for the Message Search feature is great. I love that I can choose a topic just by a glimpse of the beginnings of each reply. I like to check threads that I have replied to as well, saves time especially if one occasionally "takes a few days off".

not to be off topic, but is there anything that can be done for cyber stalkers who come to this site and harass other members?  can IP address be blocked or something?
