Again, the answer would be no, or progeny wouldn't be proven as they have been - because no serious or top competitors would buy a puppy from an untitled dog.

You ask a lot of questions Maggie.

How about some answers. Have you stood on the podium. any kind of podium in any country, in any venue.

Have you trained/titled a dog to any level in any country, any venue.

Have you bred a dog that trained/titlrd to any level. in any country, any venue.

Have you accomplished anything (other than spam a GSD board) that you feel contributed to the GSD as a breed.

And yes, I feel your decision to not breed your pet is a positive contribution to the breed. I mean in a way that required you to actually get off the sofa and do something with your dog.

Inquiring minds want to know,

I was referring to the Big Shows and how "some" on this Board "yak" amongst themselves about the Winners not being deserving.

Rik -- "Inquiring Minds" -- no, you are more like an  "Annoying Pest."   You claim that you are new here; therefore, why don't you take your own advice and be quiet.

Well Maggie. tell me where your expertise comes from and I'll be quite.

I may be new here, but I am not new to the GSD. I have many years with folks like you and Uber who feel that the breed means nothing and contribute to the shelters on a regular basis.

So, how many "podiums" have you stood on. SV, WDA. UScA, AKC, anything. You post as an expert, ask questions, get answers. change the question. dodge answers with more questions.

What exactly have you done that you have the knowledege/experience to question top breeders like Molly and Silbersee.

Kibble in one end, shovel the other end.

Great questions Rik, but good luck with your answers. This is becoming comical.

So, Maggie, I was unable to travel twice in once month when the WUSV came to KY...can you tell me, which teams were your favorites? Were you in agreement on the placings? How about the last few Siegers shows? Which dogs in the VA group did you feel had acceptable performances? Any exceptional?

While you ponder which of your many and pertinent experiences you want to share, I'm off to track with my daughter and her dog before it starts to rain. Have a lovely day, everyone.

KC. a better question would be, WHICH DOGS DID MAGGIE (OR UBER) HAVE IN THESE EVENTS.

This will be my last post foe a couple of days.

Packing my van and off to a useless WDA show, 12 hr drive, 2 days in a hotel, nothing in return except the satisfaction of having done it, and the time spent with my pup.

Geez, how I long for the life of the "all knowing"  pet owner.

If only my breeder had told me that my pups parents "titles" weren't worth the paper they were written on, what a serene, uncomplicated life I could be living.

I bred a bitch who wasn't titled because she is an exceptionally powerful girl who had a run of bad luck: I had carpal tunnel in both hands and required surgery, and I have lost much of the strength required to train a big tough bitch. Several other bad luck things happened like her ear surgery, her four-month cycle, a club implosion that gypped me out of training for awhile, and other freaking frustrating things. That did NOT mean she shouldn't be bred. I have seen too many titled and kkl dogs that I would NEVER think of breeding to. The titles just don't mean anything to me any more. My bitch produced phenomenal puppies, especially the girls. So some of us just don't believe that all that fancy paperwork would make them better dogs. Hell, I know a woman who titled most of her dogs on her back (WOW she must be good!), so to me a title doesn't automatically mean much. More power to those who go the honest route and title and breed great dogs, but it must be annoying and embarrassing to them to know about turds like I mentioned, or others who go the midnight trial route. Honest titles are sadly reduced in importance by those obtained by jackasses' sneaky methods. I'll just go my own way and raise the occasional puppies that I know are the real deal and have good health tests. I have NEVER had any problem finding working homes for them. A person CAN train but not compete, thank heaven for my girls.
