Not trying to stir a pot but how do you know it is poison? What type and how did she get it in her system? If i find em they will be eating some of the same stuff! sorry to hear it ! did you get her to the vet in time? Are the police involved? It is a serious crime to poison a dog ! Put the police on the job! Again I am sorry for what you are going through! How do you know it was 123 And why did you change the original post you wrote to something other than what you originally had??

kitkat3478:

If your vet says there is no fix and she is in pain stop thinking of your self and put her down! your not keeping her alive for her comfort your keeping her alive thru suffering for your own greif... do the right thing do it now if you love your dog more then yourself get it done now!!!

he has been threatening to do it for a while now

Kitkat:  It is extremely cruel to keep them lingering and suffering;  you need to love her enough to let her go and take care of her in this need as she has taken care of you.

KK - while I whole heartly agree with the other post, I do understand how hard this is.  I've been through a very simular situation a few years back.  If you took her to the vet, and he has confirmed poision, then you need to make a police report.  If you have the shot there, and can not do it yourself, please have someone else, who knows what they are doing, come over and assist you with it.  Hold her in your lap, looking into her eyes, tell her how sorry you are and that you love her with all your heart.  You will truly be doing what is best for her.

Then go after the bastard that did this to her!!!

by UrsulaBulat on 05 August 2009 - 20:08

hi... i lost my dog... my heart.... my eyes... my soul... somebody poisoned her with rat poison and vet didn't understand that it was a poison and gave her the medicins for something other, she was bad for days, and the mood she was died, was so cruel and painful that I'll never forgive myself for not being arrived in time to put her down...

Kitkat-    I am sorry to hear about your dog. You should notify the police and file a report.  I assume you mean you have the euthanasia solution in a shot, please do not inject it yourself. It also must be given intravenously.  First and foremost it is a class 3 drug by the DEA, and is controlled and only to be injected by a licensed veterinarian. The veterinarian who gave you this can lose their license for giving it to you. I am a tech at a vet hospital and every single drop of any controlled drug we use must be measured and logged for the DEA. Again, I am sorry you are going through this.
