Jantie, is there a copy of the said documentary around, i for one would like so see it.
It is always difficult to make comparisons, whether it be Dogs, Horses,Football teams or people, it 's all subjective, it will emerge after the case if Mayer is culpable, but yes i take your point there is a perception that scruples and honour have been eroded within the SV.in the search for mammoth amounts of money changing hands when the " big " Judges sell animals that they have connections with.
There is an old saying that Art mirrors Life, and for the sake of this particular topic, lets say that Dog breeding is an art, if so, should what's happening really suprise us ?

It was broadcasted different times on national TV, and since then, the discussions on different german boards have all pretty much died. I guess people were "impressed" (understatement).
You can ask Pier53 for a copy and how much it would cost to send it to you. It is of course entirely in German but you will certainly get the overall idea if you are into GSD's and familiar with the SV-world. Good luck!

People by the way have no idea about the magnitude of the business. I have checked the income of the big breeders and the stud owners. You would faint if I would give you the revenues there. Believe me, they could care less about HD or any other disease the breed encounters.

It is simply because I sell the vast majority of my puppies to PET homes for very reasonable price, and on occasion I have given them away for FREE to someone deserving of it. I make enemies by regularly refusing to sell my dogs to people who offer large sums of money for them, thinking, like you, that I am motavated by money. I have plenty thank you, and much more importantly I have a wonderful family. I am 64 years of age, and very happy with my life thank you. One day Jantie you may find out what brings true happiness in life. It is certainly not money.

Yet like that creature bazza, whom Oli is aware of, and deleting many of his cowardly and lying comments, YOU Jantie make assumptions based on "what you think" - NOT "on what you know". which is wrong in my case, and almost certainly wrong in most cases. The actions of a grossly unfair and irresponsible person.
My web presence is my contribution to our breed for the pleasure my wife and I have had from this outstanding breed for over 30 years. That is why I offer so much information on so many subjects, because if it helps a GSD owner or breeder, it will help their GSD. Believe me David, your Curriculum Vitae, to me, is of no interest whatsoever. So forget about the bragging and stay on the subject. We were talking GSD, National Breed Warden (title of the thread), corruption/allegations of enrichment, business/commerce versus health of the breed and GSD-(SV)-related FACTS. Now where were we?
Oh yes! I asked you if you had seen the documentary: "Pflegefall Schäferhund. The End of a German Legend." Now did you or did you not have the opportunity to watch it? From what I know, in court (and I did not say when!), the next episode of the movie might be written. The film had shown only the first episode, and if you have seen Part 1., you certainy wouldn't want to miss Part 2.
As for "assumptions" and "shortage of true facts": YOU assume quite a lot David! You set a trial date for monday, you even predict a verdict for monday, and you are trying to sketch a personal profile of my character and that of "many others". Now that is quite a lot of assumptions! You offer us NO facts whatsoever, so back up your assumptions with legal documents, if you please.
I, on the other hand, have offered quite a lot of paperwork on my website, documenting what has been going on in Germany. It is open for everybody to visit (also for Mister Mateo) and take note of what the one SV-judge accuses the other SV-judge of. Even if it is NOT the reason for the trial that YOU are setting on monday, the trial might be about alleged tax evasion - as mentioned in the movie, or for a contested traffic ticket for all I care, those documents on my site (READ MY LIPS: DOCUMENTS!), they are either offering FACTS or LIES - but they are true testimonies that people have given and signed with their own names, any which way, they seem to be quite real, and show us what this whole charade (of show business) is like. As I said, Big Business. The affidavits leave no room for a lot of doubt on what is going on there.
As I said, let us stay friendly (I'm very grateful you didn't start yelling and bullying around like you used to, I appreciate that big time, I tend to get very scared) and await the events.
