Charlie Ivory...thankyou for your time in searching info, although I did not ask for ratings or his show record. I have his pedigree and copy of pink paper. I asked if anyone knows for certain whether THIS dog has been to the United States before....as for looking for any other information meaning maybe people knowing of dogs produced by him...how successful he was...and if not successful producing, etc. Maybe others have seen him work? Bitework..drive, tempermant....info is greatly appreciated..thankyou

I'm sorry , through LOOKING...I did not realize that was you Mary. to your response "This took me about 15 seconds to find, all you have to do is look" Although I do appreciate responses to my post, and now realizing that you have responded on other boards, why is it you seem bitter in sending information? As if people should not ask questions... granted you may know some, but I'm sure NOT all. No need to treat others as if they are beneath you as we all have something to learn. No hard feelings..:-)

www.waldhimmel.com/Tacco.htm Waldhimmel does not have Tacco. Tacco has been imported by Von der Stadtrand and is located in New Jersey United States.

Zal Dante, I am not bitter at all,I am always willing to share any info I may have or know with anyone asking. If I don't know the answer I will be sure to find it.My point is many people do not use the tools we have at hand. Someone on this database in fact very currently purchased 2 dogs, now he is not sure where they came from,if the person sending said dogs are/is being on the up and up with him or if he just plain got screwed. You are correct,no need to treat people like they are beneath me,if you felt that way I am sorry, that was not my intent. On the other hand,I am a busy person, but I do find time to research my interest which is the German Shepherd I ask question myself all the time, but I also put some effort into whatever it is I am looking for myself.Again, sorry if you were offened. Best regards, Charlie

Thanks Charlie :-)...and I too am sorry if I took it offensively. I assume these boards are for all to come when one cant find information readily at hand. This is when I ask questions. Also if what information I am given is then contradicted...my instict is to investigate even further as I am the type who wants to know!:-). But quite often these boards are not always as friendly, and many come across as "you should know" and if you dont u dont belong. Know what I mean? As I said I do appreciate your responding. I have been giving info that this particular dog has not been in the US. But again I was told different. So I'm hoping someone can maybe shed more light on this for me. Also if he was sold as a pet/sport dog or will he continue to be used for breeding.

ZalDante, please share all the details of your quest for answers on your dog's pedigree. I think that I should warn you that the many GSD boards are not necessarily the place to get reliable information. One of the most popular GSD boards (called green) has become nothing more than a personal web page for a so called "top breeder" without a personal web page. No credible information only someone taking advantage of a "free venue". Who is this person from "Waldhimmel" that has been so condesending to you?

Clayton, best of luck to you and your client. Please keep us posted on the success of this dog.
