So I'm wondering, who are some of the best producing DDR males in both Germany and the US right now?  I know you don't commonly see DDR dogs in high level competition, but who is producing some of the best working dogs.  Who is still producing some of the older DDR lines and not a lot of the crap you see today.

DDR dogs came from west german lines , Germany was one country at one time. One german shepherd.

I like eickos vom grafental pedigree but don't know what he is producing.he matches nice with my dogs.

frida von linmarc, and Mara von haus Wetzler

Rick If your statement were true (DDR dogs came from west german lines , Germany was one country at one time. One german shepherd) then there would be just a German Shepherd no east-west-north or south.Rob

Schaferhunden, those were probably nice producing dogs in their day....but who from today?  Any living decendents from them (obviously not songs or grand sons of them) producing well?  I hear all the time about dogs like Puck Grafental, Aron Poppitz and a few others, but I wonder how many of those dogs can really work that are out of Puck, Aron or other dogs alike.  I have yet to see videos of offspring of those dogs, though they are said to produce high drive dogs a lot of times.

Don't know the dogs you have listed. I do not think you would hear much cause they are more then likely placed into pet homes

Hey Dude!

I recently signed up at the DDR Legends Forum.  You don't have to be a member to check ot the archived material there, but you do have to be a member to post and to "see" some of the pictures on some threads, I'm not really sure about that.  Anyhow, you can check it out here:

http://www.ddrlegends.com/forum/index.php

I had kind of a snag getting my registration approved but "Alte Ahnen", on this forum, heard of my problem and PRESTO!, I was in.
Hope this helps you out!
