Double post

First let me say that most people have no clue what is "blood line". I mean male and female blood line.
But Czech dogs had been analyzed here quite a bit. And the link above answers just about all the questions.
Here it is again.:
http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/forum/19089.html?pagen=1
Please read that thread,....at least try to read first 2 or 3 pages.
 Here is a summary:
Very many people is on the band wagon of "Czech dogs" The statement from the above ad is such ad even so there are worse.
I have imported first Czech dogs into USA on consistent basis almost  30 years ago. It was 1981-2.
the reason why I have done that is because I was looking for quality dog for  S&R training and I have realized how deplorable  condition of genetic pool of GSD in USA had been.  Before I emigrated into USA I was moderately involved with GSDs and their training in Czechoslovakia. I loved those dogs and wanted people here experience these types of dogs. Working dogs. Not sport or show; but working dogs.
These lines were versatile and able to work in variety  of tasks. I started importing and breeding mainly dogs from z Pohranicni straze. "from Border Patrol". They were originally bred under directive and supervision of Karel Hartl and Jiri Novotny in a rigid and well documented gov. program. These dogs were based on Czech and DDR dogs. There were imported about 8 stud dogs in 2 different times from DDR into Czechoslovakia . These dogs were representatives of what GSD originally was intended to be.
These dogs then produced thousands of border patrol progeny for many generations and were fixed in by stringent selective breeding.  I and Jiri are still producing in the spirit of these dogs mostly based on these original blood lines.
We care in temperament about inherited: prey, courage, protectiveness, intelligence , train ability and willingness to please, investigativnes and alertness, territoriality, early workability, longevity of workability, and general versatility and discriminativness and some others. In physical attributes we genetically promote: somewhat square structure, dark pigmentation, athletic look, general ruggedness of the body and of immune system, large teeth, and other attributes commonly important in a GSD.
We are knowledgeable of about 99% of all dogs on our pedigrees as far as genetics of these dogs go. What they produced and will produce .
I was also instrumental in registrability of these dogs with AKC.
This effort gave the good name to Czech dogs . However there are many others who jumped on the band wagon here in USA and in Czech and Slovak republic  and elsewhere, who have no clue or care  either about pedigrees or the type of the dogs they should and  will produce if they put together 2 dogs. I know that this sounds too much like a self promotion and maybe it is, but it it is self promotion for the sake of the breed. The fact of the matter is that it pains me to see our efforts being diluted and taking advantage off by people who just want to make money and do not care about these bloodlines themselves.

Hans, Very nice reply. How many litters do you and Jiri have a year on average? I understand if you don't know the exact number.

Hans,
Very good reply, I have a question about a dog you may know.

                              Tino Von Felsenschlob

He is found in Eliot vom Prevent and alot of other good dogs. What do you
think he brings to the table, if anything in your opinion?

He is very good looking, I wonder if there may be a big contribution to the
SV dogs here from the DDR line.

It used to breed under  z Alpine , z  Alpine Safe, z Alpinedragon, and now you will start seeing   "z  AlpineK9" nomenclature.
I also cooperate in some breedings of JINOPO  (=z Jirkova dvora)
Most of my dogs go to Police or family thus you will not see them on PDB too much.
I have also helped start many kennels breeding programs.
1. Van den Heuvel K9
2. Florida Shepherds
3. Rocky Mt Command dogs
4. Rolling acres K9
5. Sapphire shepherds
6. vom Banach K9
8. and others... in USA, Canada, Brazil, Izrael, Argentina, Australia, ..... and now I am helping to a breeder in Tanzania Africa.
I was also instrumental to  the efford to get dogs  "z Pohranicni straze" registrable with AKC.
