Okay, then, who wants to answer this? Why BLOOD all the time? I can't stand blood. Being woman, I"ve no bloody choice. God wants to win me with blood! And the murder of his son. I can tell you honestly, I do not and never did want blood and murder to be what makes me pure.  Very much overkill, here! There seems to only be one way to make this idea work and yes, I read Billy Graham enough that everyone's answers will be rote, God loves us, he sent his only son to die on the cross for our sins........ Okee dokey.... definitely not necessary for me.  Why is it this has to be EXPLAINED all the time, why shouldn't this be obvious? Doesn't it seem obvious that God makes it pretty hard for EVERYBODY to get to where they need to be before the whole shebang goes up in flames?

That's just fab, Royal1, you have joy denouncing--- Moons = the Devil and is needing reproach and Raymond, well, he got his butt/head dipped so, he's good to go. He gets a pass with his nasties because well, he can spout verse right back at you and never needs bother being a decent human being.

Beetree, have heard of the Pi book but not read it, another one for the wish list. Mainlymax, I'm not sure Gideon was an agnostic, maybe an aetheist, don't know, and I don't know how you could be sure others were agnostics without quite a lot of discussion with them. I find it hard enough to define my own beliefs without others doing it for me. But yes, whatever we believe, to remain questioning about it is what I like. To be too sure about things, that always makes me uneasy. Shtal, I'm lost with your stuff. Royal1, same as for Shtal. I'd love to know what YOU think about what you quote, as the written word quoted from the bible or elsewhere in the way you do it (and others)is not so amenable to the essence of a 'forum' in its truest definition.
