It would all end if we just said" We don,t need Germany" we empower them. If USA and WDA got there shit together and formed one organization we would have the second largest Germans Shepherd organization outside of Germany. The largest in the United States and guess what I think you would find the Germans would be more then willing to work with us but it must be as equals not a subordinate

Let the GSDCA take a team of prancing ponies to the WUSV competition and get laughed of the field. It,s time we took the reigns in our own hands and controlled our own destiny.

by Love My Canine on 05 October 2010 - 17:10

Why do we need only one organization Bob.  Is not variety the spice of life. Who cares what the Germans think.  We have some of the best dogs and bloodlines right here in the good old USA. Why must politics have anything to do with dog training. I am sure my dog does not care whether it is a UScA,WDA,or DVG trial.  We just want to have fun.

by Bob McKown on 05 October 2010 - 18:10

Because as sad as it sounds nothing any where, children playing on the street, old man playing checkers, husbands and wifes no matter what goes on any where there is always politcs involved some where, it,s like death and taxes.

1 large orginization properly run(note I said properly) has the best chance to make effectual change. And effect education for the public of the breed.

by Love My Canine on 05 October 2010 - 18:10

Well,Bob, to me that is like saying only one political party should run our counrty.  One organization would become a dictatorship.  What if I don't agree wtih that paticular organization?  Does that mean I can not do schutzhund? And as far as educating the public, with one organization doing the teaching where is the room for different opinions?  That kind of thinking might work in a socailist country but will never work in the USA.  We are to use to being free.

by Bob McKown on 05 October 2010 - 19:10

Free? Give me a break, were talking dogs training here not the indenturing of your children!! There will always be a difference of opinions thats what makes us unique, the differing of opinions that work together as a whole is what constitutes goal achievement.

Your free to do any thing you want,  I suggest only a path to a goal it,s up to everyone to make the decision as what path to follow. But i,m tired of this "they took our freedom horse shit" LMC have you changed the way you train your dogs because of who is on the WUSV team?, have you changed your training since Danny Spritler stepped down?, have you changed your training since the J.A got passed? I dought it. If you did then you should of not been training in the first place. No matter what goes on I will continue to train just as I do and have done no matter what the political players do or say . That my friend is FREEDOM!!!

by Love My Canine on 05 October 2010 - 19:10

Please don't think I am picking a fight with you Bob.  I respect your opinion.  I have opinions of my own that people do not agree with. Especailly when it comes to show dogs.  But I think of life this way. My father, 26 year veteran of the army once told me when I was going though my difficult teen years.  He said "  I might not like what you have to say,or your opinion, but I will fight and DIE for your right to say it."  That is what this country was built on.  So no we are not going to be like other countries and follow one organizations rules or opinions.  You live in the greatest counrty in the world.  That means you are always going to run into people that disagree with you

by Bob McKown on 05 October 2010 - 19:10

As I stated before everyone has there own Idea,s and that is the way it should be but it,s when you take your idea,s and combined them with differing idea,s but still achieve a common goal that is working together for a specific purpose and achievement.

To do that you must speak with 1 unified voice that shows conviction and purpose the group working for one attainable goal.

by Love My Canine on 05 October 2010 - 20:10

Yes Bob you are right get with one voice you agree with and make your stand.  But what about people who don't agree with you? Should they be silenced because they do not agree with the majority

by Love My Canine on 05 October 2010 - 20:10

Bob you are never going to get a unified voice in this country.  We are to great a country for that

by Bob McKown on 05 October 2010 - 20:10

If we can,t speak with a unified voice for a single purpose while retaining our individualism then we aren't that great of a country.

What in dog training don,t we agree on? lets figure this out I bet in the end we have more in common then not... thats how you work it out. Can the political hierarchy at the present time do it? probably not but as long as we can agree on the goal we can work together to achieve it.

Look we made peace with the Klingon Empire we can do any thing if we put our minds to it.
