Except Jim, wouldn't you agree, regarding racist, anti Semitic and hate monger posts, since we have had mods, people have (so far)  been minding their P's & Q's?  I have seen none of those posts which in my opinion were shameful and disgusting, since we have had moderators.  The few times people have tried to start political threads, they have been pulled very quickly, and when people have persisted, they have subsequently been banned temporarily.  I bet the same would happen with any racist, anti Semitic, and hate monger posts/posters too.

As far as Moons goes, he has not stopped complaining since Oli appointed mods to the forum, he  has not just been bitching about his computer issues, he has tried to turn the fact that there are now mods into a civil rights violation issue for gods sake!  When that last troll episode happened and flooded the board with a bunch of nonsense Moons actually gloated about it, saying we who wanted mods, the mods, and Oli all got what we deserved!  Personally, I don't know what's going on with him, but he hasn't been himself or at least he hasn't been the person I thought I knew in a while.   I think the mods and Oli have been more than patient.  


Moderator comments: He continued to try and drive people away. When the moderators and Oli are continually attacked yes we will ban people for this behavior. Please do not compare what happened before moderators to now. Moons posts on this and other threads have been deleted so it is hard to follow what has been said but the moderators know. In Moons last post he admitted to having problems with certain CDNs so why is he here throwing such a huge fit and continually trying to drive people away. Then we have the infidel show up complaining with swear words telling Oli to go F his self. I suppose that just came out of left field. The infidel was also here when the flooder was here and was saying the site owner was to expect war. Since most of you do not know the whole story please refrain from thrashing the moderators and Oli further.

At least with Moons you know where you stand, he tells it like it is and does it honestly.  I don't always agree with him, but I'll take honesty over those hiding behind the curtain pulling the strings on the puppets any day.  What Moons said in his frustration to be able to view the site was far less insulting, hurtful or demeaning than the personal attacks others have launched against each other. 

It has always amazed me that some get to post the most vile, hateful, disgusting, rude and insulting comments and they are not banned?  I'm happy to have moderation, I can remember countless members asking Oli to stop the vile posts in the past.  I just wonder why does a comment directed towards the mods get you banned all of a sudden and the other comments just get deleted and no one gets banned? 

I think Moons was partially correct, because I have had viewing and posting problems as well with this site and it is not my ISP's fault.  The site has issues, remember the cat litter ad?  That was not my computer or ISP's fault.  Perhaps, a little understanding or an acknowledgment would have gone a long way to end the frustration.

Jim, I don't know why that other stuff stays, except who wants to wade through years of posting rubbish? I don't know if Moons was always being honest, because he never answered questions! That is the frustrating part for me.

Without a doubt it's better than it was.  I am in favor of the Mods and always have been.  I've been asking for moderation for years.  Yes, some of the trolls are on their best behavior lately.  I'm just waiting to see how long it lasts.  I'm a little confused by the whole sitaution and trying to figure it out.

You need to adjust your resolution and everything will be fine. The directions are spread out all over this thread. If the fonts are then to small you can increase them with the directions I posted yesterday.

This is the best design Oli has ever had on this site. It just takes some adjustments.

2nd Moderator comment: Jim, please read back on one of your former posts a few pages back. I have posted a response to your asking why vile posts are not deleted. They have been and will be. But, if we all know who does this, then we also know that individual has not posted here for some time. If and when he does, and his posts are the typical rants he posts, be assured, they will be summarily deleted and he will be blocked from posting. 

As for Moons, his "time out" will be lifted, just as the small number of others who have been locked from posting will  also and have also been. However, there is ZERO tolerance for bashing Oli, this site, and the moderators. It is simple. Post on dog topics, remain civil, and everything will run smoothly.

I'm sorry but you don't get it.  My resolution is fine. 

I tried to follow the instructions and everything got worse on all sites.  Then, all of a suddenly a few days ago my resolution and font size changed on it's own.  My computer was fine until some charges here and the ads overlapped everything. I couldn't even type a response.  I made no changes to my settings, I just dealt with it quietly and became a little frustrated with this site.  Not unusual or a big deal.  Other forums and sites worked perfectly.  Then this site changed and the ads no longer overlap and I can type replies to posts again.  I don't think it was my computer or my ISP.  But, without any changes it works again, very nicely.  Must be magic?
