The Moderators came about in September -- shortly after the the site had reached its Boiling Point and spilled over.   It was finally "exorcised" on November 30, which was great !    I think the Moderators have done a good job -- although I have had to point out (in PM's) some inconsistencies.

When I think of --

Medical (dogs) -- I think of Hodie
Training - Hans Prager
Conformation - Rik

Those names come automatically to mind, although there are many very competent posters who can address medical, training, and conformation.   Louise and Hexe are also very knowledgeable about dogs.

The Forum also has its "busy bodies" that wait to pounce .... they are tolerated and sometimes are amusing.

It's the PDB -- a mixture of personalities --  with their preferences.

The Mods have stated that Oli has been very busy working on additional changes.  When are the "big changes" going to be put in place?

GSD---I really don't care one way or another if you get upset.  Your choice.  YOU posed a question toward me, and even though I really had no intention of adding to this thread, I feel obliged and will be gracious enough to respond.  You asked if I own this site.  Answer----no. You said "Either accept Oli's decision or move on."  My response-----It was a given to anyone reading my "So.....my hat's off to them.  They won and have Oli's ear" that I was acknowledging and had accepted his decision.  Please do not advise me to move on again.

You said..."Some of this complaining is coming from some of the same people who complained things were out of hand before moderation." Since I abhor this censorship, it's a mute point that remark,,,,if directed at me,,,,could be nothing more than insurmountably ridiculous. Next, the "don't expect to elicit change" is again nonsensical.  I said "you won".....remember.

As to 'assets'. Debatable conundrum....food for several threads. Your last line hit me the wrong way, and I must pose a question to you.  How does my post saying "I lost", "they won", and "my hat's off to them" possibly "fight the site owners every move."  Do you realize that remark might cause Oli to see me in a negative light? (lol)  Bet you do.

Finally......no I don't like moderation.  Probably would gag if I officially knew who they are.  Unofficially, can guess who they are......along with their new screen names. Here's a thought.........there are people here who aren't thrilled with your presence.  Yes, I see I'm not in the majority.....but may I suggest you stop reminding the minority on such a constant basis.  Might make things easier to swallow. I said might. (lol)

Hans,

Respect is a 2 way street and it is all we ask for. We respect all members until they destory that respect.

Instead of questioning what we are doing embrace it and help others to embrace it. We have not just gone and deleted a bunch of posts. I have a list and it is very small. All deleted threads are saved. All moderators are asked to screenshot or copy and paste all deleted/edited posts. We are not just deleting things willy nilly. There are checks and balances in place and it is working very well.

Regards,
GSD

Hoodie I agree with everything  what you are saying except last part of the  last column.  But again you have famously misunderstood or misconstrued what I am saying. I am not going to go into details. people who care can actually read what i have said and to debate this is just too tedious and I must go clean dog sh.t.

Also
FYI:
I am staying here  not because "  it is too important to you (for me) to stay and promote what you (I) do for a living".
I have been doing dogs for decades and I am here actively, only since April 2009. No,
I am stying because I like to help people. It makes me happy. ( I know it's a weird concept).  I also stay because I love GSD and want to promote it so that it stays the way it was originally intended  to be.  Yes I happen to love what I do so much that it became what I do for living. Is that what bothers you?
Do you love what you do for living? If yes, then you understand. If not, then you never will.

LMH,

No one won. It is not a win, lose situation.

I will make my presence felt when an "asset" becomes an "ass".

This thread is about welcoming new mods, not about your displeasure or who won or lost. I only see it as a win, win situation.

Good day.

Regards,
GSD

We want everyone to stay. It does not matter the reasons. We want no one to leave, but we will not change things because one asset becomes a liability.

Prager, I have read every post you have made. I think you are a credit to the GSD.

But I must separate myself from you if you think that someone who has continually made statements that make newbies and novices feel small and that those who do not know English as first language are stupid is correct.

moons is the ultimate azzhat here. ( well I guess it could be considered a toss up between him, Jeff and mini me Daryl).

mini moons, if you keep being mean to me by PM, I am going to boycott. I promise.

Well if Moons called you an azzhole lately, at least he took it to pm's.  and I don't recall Daryl ever calling a newbie anything rude.  He has alot of good info to share.
I also do not see Jeff nor Daryl  on this thread calling anyone names.

Abuse is okay if it is done in private? You might want to rethink that one.
