Jeff, you are becoming what I call a knob.

by eichenluft on 01 February 2011 - 20:02

Jeff, please refrain from posting on a thread about my dogs.  I do not care what you, someone who has never done anything with your dogs, have never bred a dog that accomplished anything, and someone who enjoys bashing dogs "just for fun" - has to say about any of my dogs.  Go away.

Molly, Jeff, and Don. Enough.  Take it to PMs.  All posts not related to the thread topic will be deleted.

This is your second warning. There won't be a third.

Jeff, since you requested some video...here it is

You mentioned about ring sports....well here is my dog at 6 months, and then again at 14 months. My trainer is incorporating a litte bit of mondio with Schutzhund...giving the dog obstacles, and making the dog work through things that are unexpected- boxes, botttle, barrels, etc

There is no Mondio in that video. That is good training, but has nothing to do with Mondio. I encourage you to find a club nearby, which unfortunately is not easy, and check out Mondio.

I would love to see your dog do Mondio, if there is anyone close by. I do know about the logistics of the sport and how hard it is due to the small amount of people and the huge HUGE distances between us.

Let me know if I can be of any help to you with anything Mondio.

No not mondio, but like mondio, the dog is experiencing new things: kind of an environmental change, instead of the stale routine of schutzhund.
This will help when my dog steps out onto the schutzhund field and completes his exercises.
In training when he sees many different scenarios with different objects he believes this is the norm, so when he steps out to do his routine he has the mentality that what he is asked to do is easy- no bottles being thrown at him, or environmental changes...

keeps the dog guessing- kinda like mondio
