Back on Valentines day my friend's husband was shot in the neck while on duty in Afghanistan, and he ended up passing away five days later.  He was a Marine, and they've always been a great family and very well known around here.  My friend Crissie (the Marine's wife) has a baby due soon as well, who will never get to see what a great man his father is. I know it's not a "holiday" but I think we should definitely take the time to thank the soldiers, regardless of Marines, Army, etc for what they do for us, whenever we get a chance to. What's not to honor about someone who willingly puts their life on the line for us?

Sorry for your friend's loss!  Amen to thanking soldiers!  My husband is an Army vet and I have 2 nephews currently on active duty.   They sacrifice so much so we can be safe and free.  God bless all of our soldiers!

My fiance leaves for Afghanistan later this year. I'm sorry to hear of your friend's loss. I get chills every time I read something like this now. I was raised to have deep respect for all who serve, military, LEO, firefighters, etc. I always thought I had the backbone to be a military wife but to be honest, I'm afraid. Whatever God you believe in, pray they all come home safe.

The reason you and I have the liberty to play on an Internet Forum is because our young Men & Women put themselves in "Harms Way", ....so that you/we/me  can continue to play childish games on the Internet!

Our Young Warriors are dying........dying in order to provide  us the luxury to argue about the color of a dog! Or who scammed who?

Our children are dying for what?

Show some Respect!!!
