Man I'm trying to stay out of this. I've been a member of local 598 for 40 years and I've never had to back up to anyone to draw my pay check. I've worked away from my family more than I've been with them. And I've worked all over the United States. They ain't nobody ever give me a damn dime and I don't owe nobody a dime . If I am the only problem you have, you don't have one.

It depends on the Local, I suppose! We have something called "binding arbitration" that began as a great idea when teachers really were given the short end of the stick. But now the pendulum has swung the other way. Now, when they receive their concessions, it has given the "Administrators", and this follows for Gov't workers, in my book, too, carte blanche to expand their worth and job description!

Times need changing, and we can't have perks for one set while the others just suffer to pay the bill.

For Maggie"

*Low IQ requires NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND to get the school to up their standards.

*Finding out who is the bad math teacher vs. who is the bad student is a problem.

*Students with LD's are in Special Ed, but the ideal is mainstreaming so you might not notice it. And that is a good thing.

*Unions today drive consumer cost UP.

*Chinese economy has NO PROBLEM taking a temporary hit if it means we'll be bankrupt for eternity.
