I think the music was better back then, but we've definitely improved on clothing and hair styles!  Wow.

Maggie:    OH MY, you just hit two of my most favorites...  besides   Maksim the pianoist  who is one HUNK>>>>>

I love  Bocelli and   Celine Dion...

And the first  love after my husband died and I had two songs      Stuck on you AND
HELLO     two of Lionel Ri    great songs.

I also love    Floyd Cramer       Richard Clayderman  but Makism is one of my most favorites...

and 650 others....Pink Floyd even has some good ones...I never got to listen to music at home or the years of my young days so many of the artists were foreign to me...some I like bits and pieces but just dont ask me to name tunes...Even Classical I recognize the pieces but unless I sang it on stage somewhere do not remember titles....THE GREAT PRETENDER , and THE LORDS PRAYER, and the STAR SPANGLED BANNER,  selections from Oklahoma, South PaCIFIC  , and the HAllelujah Chorus , were the songs I knew as I sang them on stage and in public...Gospel and Christian music of course I knew backwards and forwards but the seculiar world I knew very little about.  I have an open door now to all of it.. When I leave this earth I will go out with  a Song and a HAPPY HEART

MUSIC cleanses the soul like laughter does

Just a quick comment about the phrase in the title "He ain't Heavy, He's my Brother"\

Dr. Thomas Dooley worked in Laos and Viet Nam refugee camps... way WAY before the Vien Nam War era, establishing  medical clinics for the people of the area.  He spoke about the poverty there,  and the People trying to escape a harsh regime there. One picture in one of his books was about a young boy, maybe 8 who was carrying his younger brother on his back.  When asked "Isn't he heavy" that was his answer.  I still remember the photo, and the eyes of both boys, though I read the book back in the 60's...  Later it was the theme of the song posted by The Hollies.  He died in 1961 of cancer.  His life was cited in the creation of the Peace Corps by JFK.
