LOL....Ninja I'm not that daft. I know that picture ain't you but I'll admit I've never seen it before until now.......its everywhere when I pull up images on the internet. Looks like Mr Bean's love child. LOL.

I'm failry certain I was an ugly baby. My mother likes to tell the story of how she yelled at the nurses that they mixed up the infants and to take me away, I was not hers. I had a full head of jet black hair and she said I was a Mexican baby. Gotta say mom had an emercency c-section, I was breach and whatever pain meds they had her on, doped her up for 3 days. On the 4th day, she woke up.
So glad my kids are cute when they come out, I'd hate to send one back. LOL

i was very typical of babies in the 50's. mom kept my hair in a cupie till i was around 2. back then, all little girls wore dresses. i could have substituted for the gerber baby.

Yup Shell, ugly, wrinkly, alien looking little things. I thought newborns were so ugly, I actually feared I might actually reject my first one. She was pretty smooshed up from the birthing process but still cute enough to her momma. My son was a beautifully perfect little angel face, no bruising or smooshed face or lopsided head.
