But I also understand that others would say it is when someone thinks what they are breeding is the best, their dogs can't be improved upon, or their practices are acceptable, when the majority would disagree. To me this is just ignorance, cockiness, or close-mindedness, not actually being "kennel blind."

so what happens next with these kennel blindess or ignorant breeder's? What road do they head down next?
Are these big time breeder that have this or smaller scale breeders?
What I dont get is, every Judge is different so in there mind they might like big boned gsd & at the next show that Judge like slope? It really seems like you have to follow the Judge that likes your stock inorder to win with what you have....right?

To add, I think it's a natural human-nature thing, this kennel blindness, which is why serious breeders will ask for others to help evaluate their dogs.
Judges probably get this as well... watching the same type run around a ring all day. Not to mention, they are probably biased towards ones that look like their dogs or what they wished their dogs looked like.
