For a stud fee of $1000.00 what quality, titles, etc.. should the stud dog have? How does one go about determining how much they charge for a stud fee? Mysti

For $1000.00 stud fee... I expect the male to have high SchH3 titles.. plus kkl1 with high V (or va) and is proven producer with progeny thats a available to be either observed by eyes or by videos. It would also help if the male has other titles such as FH or police dog including therapy dog or service work. For me the quality must be high for the kind of price that the stud owners are asking for ($1000.00)

My dog is available for stud at $1,000 and nothing less. He has no titles but you can research his fathers progeny (Hill V Farbenspiel 3 X VA and VA 2). His Grandfather is World Sieger Bax von der Luisenstrasse 3 X VA and VA 1 with much Wienerau in the bloodline. OFA Good normal hips and elbows and AKC DNA certified. His character and social skills are excellent, normal prey drives

AND I FORGOT THE KKL1 OR 2 NOT EVERY PUP BREED OUT OF THAT HISTORY OR DNA OR OFA IS A GOOD CANDIDATE TO BE BRED THAT WHY WE DO ALL THIS EVALUATING AND TRIALING AND GETTING TO THE KK....I USE TO LISTEN TO THE BREEDERS AND SCHUTZHUND TRAINERS WHEN I FIRST STARTED IN DALLAS TALK ABOUT GOING OVER SEAS AND PAYING OVER 150,000.00 FOR SOME GREAT TITLES BSP OR SOME HIGH TITLED DOG THAT A CHINESE MAN WALKED IN AND OVER TALKED THE OWNER AND PAID 200,000.00 FOR THAT SAME DOG OUT FROM UNDER THEIR NOSES WOW AND WERE DISCUSSING A 1000.00 STUD FEE AMAZING WORLD OF WEALTH IN TITLES

that is too high for a stud dog with no titles. you can't go on the pass of what their previous generations has done. i get tired of people saying oh he goes back to Fero, Asco or Uran whatever. the fact is what has THAT dog done to deserve such a high stud fee. i see people now breeding non titled dogs and jumping on old titles of ancestors. I have several young dogs in my kennel now that are training for titles, but if you want to breed to one fine, but 500.00 is max. I have some really nice import dogs, but can't justify that high price not even for a puppy. i sell my pups for $ 600.00 on nontitled dogs, and 800.00 for titled parents. call me old fashion, but to me it's about the quality of the puppy. not totally on pedigree.

well eichenluft I guess with you titles are the answer to all successful breedings and as long as the parents are titled all will be 100% perfect. Sorry I dont agree but the bloodlines alone are certainly prominent for breeding purposes. You R a breeder and I am not so maybe your expertise is a factor with breeding titled dogs vs non titled dogs.

that's a very rude response........
