I just wanted to say that I very well know puppies don't run around smelling butterflies and unicorns until it is time for them to make money. What a bunch of hogwash. When I keep something back, the last damn thing I am interested in is how much money she is going to bring in. And frankly that is probably some of the decline of the breed--people with that mindset. Part of the beauty of having a pup out of your lines is the doing things with them--showing, OB, etc. You may find the dog has some quirks and it's not breedworthy anyway. Nothing is a loss when you learn from it. There are a lot of people who show and compete that have no intention of breeding--they just like a good dog to work with. And what is so wrong with that? My mindset is not to breed breed breed. So if I am losing money oh well. I have income, I don't need to make money off the dogs. I never have and never will.

Let me be clear about something. I have never bred a litter. Will I ? Yes eventually.

I have no problem with a breeder breeding for a profit and or to pay the bills as long as they are doing it by the book so to speak with health checks and titles and are breeding for a better dog and not just throwing a bitch and male together to make a couple bucks.

Now from a business standpoint as I said before it is a loss. As far as The man and taxes for all these breeders I have no clue.
