Deuce would jump out the window to take him out. Hes a dick like that and loves the fight. Sleeve, no sleeve no problem. But again, he's a K9. Not just that but the oaf is FAST.

Haha and the croc torques the bite and pulls backwards.... nerves?

Hired Dog

VK4, to tell you the truth, I always encouraged my dogs to either push into the bite or pull back hard. I feel it adds to the fun the person at the receiving end has. None of my dogs has ever done the death roll while holding on to an appendige, although there were a few times in my life that I wished they would, but, thats another story. Nerves are solid, the dog will go anywhere, anytime against anyone and this is a 17 month old young dog that is acting like a 6 month old because its so slow to mature. Every drive I could ask for is there, he just needs to mature and if he had nerve issues, he would not be here or be my dog.

vk4gsd, Sorry you consider putting pressure on a dog BS.  If done right for the right reasons, putting pressure on a dog is done DURING training. The obvious will surface there and any person that want a dog for work and not sport would know that is not BS.  A dog like that would not make it on a police dept, seeing eye dog, or any one of the other working venues that consist of day in and day out pressure.  And yes many dogs are trained for work where a person's life could depend on the dog's ability to "WORK".

A personal protection dog that is trained right will buy you time if someone would break into your home at night.  Enough time to get to a phone or get out. Yes the dog may end up injured or even dead. But I would much prefer to have my dog NOT fold under that pressure and rise to the occasion and save my life.

Perhaps the confusion about pressure,  is many people do not know what lack of nerve really is.  Lack of nerve can easily be covered or disguised, but should never be for a working dog that people's lives or well being depend on.  JMO.

Sorry I can see this convo is going to get ugly. I never intended it to become a debate.

VK4, a bite is either genetically full or its not. A dog will either genetically push into the bite or it wont and you cant make it. Malinois puppies out of the NVBK push into the bite at 6 weeks with very little to no attraction by the helper because they are genetically bred this way. NVBK rewards extra points for quality of the bite so they breed for it. Check out some NVBK vids on youtube, you will see what I am saying.
