These things take A LOT of time, effort and money to train for and trial competitively in. You can't train these venues by yourself. They all take additional people and resources.

Thats why I also said "Stöberprüfung and many other FCI events".  In fact Stöberprüfung should be the nosework equivalent in IPO clubs.

IPO clubs don't offer herding because they are not set up for it nor do they have the resources to do so. IPO and RH can be done in a soccer field. Herding takes a special location with the addition of livestock.

As for herding, the foundation is already out there with the AKC clubs doing it.  Is it more involved? Certainly.  Is it impossible for GSDCA clubs already doing herding to offer it down the road? No, they can even work up from the HWT if needed.

Folks for awhile there was good discussion here, now you are just off track and getting back to petty bickering amongst yourselves as usual.  Please stop or I will have the Admin delete your posts!

Thank you

As for the RH, read the rules, the early title is an OB phase with some agility and then a kind of VST track, FAR from being a true SAR equivilant. The early RH titles are definitely within reach of someone whose done AKC agility and tracking. You're just trying obstruficate again. But hey, I don't expect any less from you. The more you talk, the more insight you reveal about the community at large. It's your negative image projected here for all to see, not mine. Folks will start making use of these "obscure" rules over time, hopefully you still be around to see it happen at your own club. Also these are relevant issues to the WDA breakup because GSDCA clubs can choose to offer these titles without IPO events at trials if the existing members don't have the fortitude for bitework

momo:

I promise you, I will sleep better tonight with the comforting thought that you don't want to around "my kind".  My kind is one that loves his dogs. I love Show Dogs. I love Working Dogs, I love Herding Dogs, I love Tracking Dogs, I love Obedience Dogs. I enjoy just about every breed of dog but I am devoted to the GSD.  I actually enjoy about all dog  activities and appreciate others who do also irrespective of the regimen they enjoy. I enjoy people in the WDA. I enjoy people in USCA. I enjoy people in The GSDCA, The SV, DVG, etc.  I do and or have attended events by every one of those clubs. Admittedly however, I don't understand, like or have any tolerance for; driveling whiners, bleary-eyed cry babies and folks who see their pathetic world through Feces-Covered Glasses.  Have a truly great day and please spare us the significantly intense burden of seeing more of your negative BS.

The back and forth insults need to stop now, it would be nice to have a thread I don't have to clean up after supposed adults who can't just give an opinion without the jibes at one another.

Any further comments not on thread topic will be deleted and the members causing that will further Admin action taken. Thank you. mrdarcy (mod)
