To new members and those who don't post - Page 8

When I first joined this site back in December of 2005 it was mostly a working line dog forum...  This site has changed alot and is full of people that offer very informative posts. Some people have come and gone and are missed.. Some have been banned for what ever reason, and their help and advice on this forum is greatly missed.

I am greatly appreciative of all the hard work that Oli and the moderators have done with this site. I know that the moderators have other jobs are well. For the most part this sire has been run smoothly and efficently. For that I am greatful to Oli and the admins for their hard work.

Up until this past week I have been on this site daily... the reason that I have gone to another forum is because of some of the resent total lack of respect for others on some of the posts here. Two in particular... the one that was about PUPPIES that Sunsilver started and the one about the RUSH dog that was started by Pirates Lair(Kim). These posts sure went WAY off topic. The PUPPIES post did not start out right at all, as the very FIRST reponse was very condensending.. and spiraled down hill from there. As well as the post that Kim started about CanCzechs dog Rush. Some of the people(members and Admin) on these posts went WAY out of line. People should sit back and think before they post.... and no matter what everyone should be treated fairly and spoken to respectfully. I honestly was a tad shocked that one of the Admins had the outbursts that they did on this post. I know things were said, on both sides, in the heat of the moment. Like I said, people should sit back and think before they post and make sure they are treating people fairly and politely. Remember this is a site that is viewed by the public... if members and admins are speaking to each other like what happened on these posts it looks really bad... not to mention is a huge diserespect to Oli. Who has worked hard to maintain the integrety on this site.    Just my opinion for what its worth.

As I mentioned, I have joined another forum... I will stop by here periodically... but probably will not post much.

i appreciate your perspective but when a member goes onto the forums and demands to know admin things, I think it is disrespectful, the info he wanted was found out because another member found a hole into the admin forum but never told us about, pretty disrespectful to Oli, IMHO. Then when that was member was brought back and given another chance he proceeded to slam the site, Amin and Oli. We can't have that here no matter what member it is. I went to Kim's thread explained pedigrees getting changed happens and to just revert it back, I even offered an apology. I got nothing but lip. I didn't cut him down or call names but he sure did to me.

then he proceeded to call us bitches and cowards which put an end to it. I think calling admins bitches and cowards is pretty disrespectful.

I challenge anyone to point out my disrespect on his thread.

I just glanced over Kims post and it was a back and forth for a while.....If anyone wants to they can read or re-read that post and make their own decision. GSDAdmin, I am not saying it was all you... There were other on that post that were out of line. I was just surprised that one of the admins carried on as long as it was in that post. There comes a time when someone has to say enough it enough and stop. I am not going to comment on that post anymore... enough is enough.

Whats done is done... the past can not be changed, but the future can. Like I said people should THINK before they post and make sure not to be rude, condensending, belittle anyone! There are ALOT of people on this forum that offer great advice and have alot of experience. Oli has worked hard and I am sure spent alot of money on this site so that people can learn about training, pedigrees, etc.

As I mentioned, I have been a member here since Dec of 2005... and have learned alot from posts here. People may bicker on here, fight etc but in the end this site is one disfunctional family...lol. So my advice is to treat people with respect and to expect the same.

I give what I get. I have no problem showing you/anyone all the respect in the world until you/anyone shows me disrespect. Pretty much the way I am in real life, also. I have made some mistakes over the last 5 years but I bet you won't find many others who can even take responsibility much less admit they made a mistake.

I still challenge anyone and especially the people who have criticized me to show me where I disrespected Kim. I really don't think anyone can. I am always willing to learn though and I have learned a lot from past mistakes.

Maybe I should have gotten out earlier on that thread but once you start calling names and belittling me all bets are off. I have recently found out that a member has been sitting in the background PMing people and trying to get people to bait and goad me into these things so while it appears one way to some, it has a lot to do with the puppet master behind the scenes pulling many many strings.
