I would like to breed my dark sable female to Troas. Does anyone know who owns him and where he/she is located? Thank in advance you for any information you may provide.

Did you bother googling it? Previous owner's website says he was stolen in 2012.
Hopefully you have more factors in your breeding than your female being a dark sable.

Yes, I did bother googling it and saw where a previous owner said Troas was stolen in 2012. Also, a couple of months ago I saw where he was in Michigan with a kennel owner who said he was her dog and was not stolen, but he is no longer listed on that particular website. That is why I am trying to find out where he is and if he is even still alive.

Of course, there are many factors in breeding my German Shepherd, Seattle, other than her being a dark sable. I happen to love black German Shepherds. I am well-aware that coloring does not make the dog. I just casually mentioned her coloring in my quest to find Troas. Seattle has a very strong working line pedigree. She is a very large-boned, powerfully built dog with an excellent temperament. I am trying to find a black stud dog with an excellent working line pedigree to breed Seattle to (if I breed her at all) that will complement her. I will not breed her to just any German Shepherd just to breed her. I am looking for very dark pigmentation in my puppies. Listed are just a few of the main factors I am looking for.

(1) Most importantly, Seattle must past her OFA hip/elbow test when she turns 2 years old this month. or I will not breed her at all.
(2) Troas has excellent conformation.
(3) Troas has one of the most beautiful/correct heads on a German Shepherd that I've seen. Personally, I love the way his ears are placed/set.
(4) Troas is supposed to have an excellent temperament. Temperament is one of the most important factors I am looking for in a prospective male.
(5) Seattle carries the black recessive gene so I want to breed her to a black male that is well-bred with at least good/excellent hips and with a strong working pedigree.
(6) In my opinion, dark pigment of eyes and coat is highly desirable in the German Shepherd Dog.

"What work have you given yr girl to prove she is an exceptional specimen worthy of moving the breed forward??"

"Hopefully you have more factors in your breeding than your female being a dark sable."

LMAO, if I listened to both of you - there would be 100s of families without great healthy dogs. Why worry about things you can't control or is that what it is about, control? You can't shame, demand, control or demean others into doing what you precieve as the right thing to do. You simply can't do it and all you end up doing is causing others to not post here so I am respectfully asking both of you to move on or find better ways to get your message out - in others words you need to find a much better way of delivering your message. If either of you would like to argue your point please PM me as I would love to hear from you both although I highly doubt you would want to hear back from me.

BTW, read the topic of this thread - it has nothing to do with your agendas and if you have something to say start your own threads to educate. VK, I can at least respect you as you have shown your dog here but hnt I don't ever remember seeing threads on your dogs only snide remarks with inane questions about stuff YOU cannot control.

Regards,

Mick

I had to google this dog...

What I don´t understand: Why does the former owner still say on the website that this dog was stolen in 2012 and there is a stud announcement from November 2014 ?

Because the "former owner" never formally owned him....
