Why would a breeder xray hips on a stud but not elbows? Fishy to me.
Thanks for the clarification, as I thought Icer owned both sire and dam.
Was still unimpressed by video of one of his pups.
No titles doesn't bother me, but no videos of working does.
I have a female out of 2 IPO3 dogs, sire is hugely well known, all dogs behind her at least IPO1, and she has NO drive.
Pedigree isn't enough to determine workability.

enough has been said about blood lines, pro and con about this pairing. What I would like to challanage you to think about is the enviroment this pup will be raised in. Your current dogs has a few issues that owner and enviroment contribute to. Now if you add another dog to this pack, please pay attention to how much you might use the older dog as a foster mother. Any new pup you add to your home will learn from the other dog[s] in the pack, good or bad.

Are these dogs able to work? Are they healthy?

A pedigree loaded with a lot of famous 2./3./4./5. generation ancestors is interesting - in case the pup ends up as a good dog it´s because of the "famous" ancestors - in case it doesn´t it´s because of any unknown great grand dam...

Pedigrees are only able to show a tendency, but mom and dad are able to show you a way better tendency.

Duke is spot on, good dogs do produce mediocre dogs, too - in case mom and dad are mediocre, the chance to get a mediocre pup will be good...

What about your female? Are you able to separate the two of them, in case she will be jealous, and start to suppress or even harm the pup?

I am already aware that the parents are not titled, but the pedigrees indicate a genetic tendency to work. The pup will be a male. And yes if there is a prob with my female we can separate them.

But no health testing listed for dam, no elbows for sire? Sire and dam are pretty much just pets, why would you choose this breeding if you want to do PSA?

A " genetic tendency to work", about as vague and open as it gets.

Famous ancestor syndrome - I made that up, keeps puppy mills in business.

Student has made good points there - it isn't just
about being able to separate them if they don't get
on (and two of opp.sexes OUGHT to get on okay
anyway, in the right ownership)...

Sorry Mithuna, you lost any sympathy you might have
had from me as regards training GSDs when you told
us your bitch has to have 2 or 3 kinds of collar on her
neck to stop her taking you for a walk. Guess I am
just spoilt by having had years of my dog walking every-
where calmly at my side, on just one ordinary flat collar;
it continues to sound as though your bitch - and you - are
a liability on the streets of NYC.

My advice would be to get the proper training and control/obedience on your first dog before thinking about getting another dog. At least that way you may have one well-trained dog, instead of 2 half-trained ones, lol.

From my limited knowledge of lines, you may be biting off more than you can chew if you get this pup, before you figure out how to get better control/obedience from your girl.

Free advice is worth all it costs. I have seen two litters from the same sire and dam born back to back vary in personality and skill set so predicting litter outcomes is mostly BS. The pups ( if they materialize ) will be a lot like mom and dad .. they will also vary a great deal individually in their personality and skill set. Even in a litter of crazies there will be one less crazy and one super crazy. You have a lot of "brand name" dogs in the pedigree but that does not mean there will not be some dogs with a good head and a good heart nor does it eliminate the possibility that some of the pups could be bat shit crazy. Better get to know mom and dad for this litter well and then choose the pup that fits what you need.
