You mean TOO sticks ? Lol. Or to stick?

by joanro on 29 February 2016 - 20:02

True, but by the time I discovered my error, it was TOO late TO correct it TO TWO.

Too true, like dancing with one shoe in a Tutu. Its now time for my morning number two, last night's porridge makes it like glue...eeew.

by joanro on 29 February 2016 - 20:02

That's too like you, to speak of your two, to whom it may concern...you eat porridge, too? Yuk! Lol

''why force a dog to do something it does not want to?''. If it is climbing mt Everest i am with the dog. If it is behaving at the vet or around people and/or dogs, my dog had better learn. I tried your cop-out on my parents at about 4 years old and guess what? I went to school, brushed my teeth, learned to be polite and many other things a child thought were '' not for me'' God bless my parents!

I thought about Mithuna for a while now -

He loves his dog
He believes in the tell tales about "real dogs"
He tries to learn about dogs as much as possible
He joins a club
He is here to ask for help regularly

Not that bad...

He got a "difficult" female, but he tries his best. There ARE dogs like his girl - what are his options?
Either to learn and train - or to give her away...
No "pet dog owner" wants to hear that his beloved dog is a liability, maybe is kind of "weird", for him this dog is part of the family...
He wouldn´t post in case his dog would be a pet without drives, without aggression, without suspicion, but he got what he got.

All of us know it´s a long way, Mithuna needs to take very good care of his female ( I hope he is smart enough ), but I do understand him.

The puppy he is looking for right now is a combination out of "sport" and "real dogs" ( whatever this might be ).
He already learned that "some" biddability is not that wrong.

What he does not know is how difficult it will be to raise a puppy with an adult female around.

There are two scenarios - either his girl will suppress the pup totally, or she will "adopt" the pup and he will show the same behavior later on. Not the best outcome in both cases.

The only appropriate way would be to separate the two of them until the pup is at least 12 - 14 months old ( sleep, walk, train, play ) - but honestly, that´s no fun...
