I see a very young dog wanting to play with a man dressed in padding while trying to shake off a muzzle. The guy holding the lead does not look like he understands what's going on nor what to do next. So what is going on? Can you explain to me?

Well Koach I think this is young dog and definitly is not playing is also looking for protection the dog is already behind that handler...., That dog don,t understand what
is going on and is more fighting with that muzzle than the decoy....

My point is handlers like this get a podium on the www with alll their blah blah blah
about handling and how to train dogs if you read all that blah blah this people must be
a master degree in dog training but the sad thing is between writing and REAL training dog is a big diference all his videos proof this, I cant imagine some profesional handlers will ever take this crap serious.

For newcomer who are buying dogs and who not so experience and maybe they spend
a lot of money buying dogs and maybe some will training with people like this,
there comes moment this kind of trainers destroy this dogs by bad training.
for personal protection ,civil and what ever , Than the sad thing is they destroy this dogs
but also this newbies wasting their money.  And they have to go to a better and more

profesional trainers to repair the eroors  but the BAD foundation is already there..........

Newbees if you wanna real training dogs look please for profesional trainers and
not that www cowboy trainers what will become more and more a hype.

Sure there are some very good trainers in the US like Ivan Balabanov people who realy understand the game from dog training.Maybe it is a good idea making a list
from very good and proven trainers in the US and put it here.

"Can someone explain me what this master trainer and master decoy are doing ??"

They are fighting "sportism" Soccer ballLightbulbTeeth Smile,

... and I think we already read pages of "explanations", at least I am not interested in a new round...

Honestly, for any "newbie":
Try to find a club, or at least an established training group, ask others about their experiences, and compare.

Someone "teaching" IPO should have a record of trained and titled dogs under his belt, someone "teaching" PP should be able to tell you about clients, who are using these dogs successfully in their job, someone "training" police dogs should be proud to tell you which departments successfully use his dogs.

There are no trials/ no proof for "PP dogs", that said, there is a variety of training from shit to great.
Out of my experience a well obedience trained, stable dog, able to bark on command, is the most useful "PP dog" for any "private" dog owner.

A lot of times "theory" and "praxis" don´t fit together, in that case stay away...

As soon as you and/or your dog don´t feel comfortable - run! It´s your dog, and you are responsible for your dog, for your family, and for society.

He is : Master Trainer XYZ (E.A.W.D.A.,A.W.D.R.) ( from the website )

I wasn´t able to find E.A.W.D.A. or A.W.D.R., must be something "American", maybe someone is able to help?

I thought about AWDA ( American Working Dog Association ), but there is no mention, although the trainers are mentioned by state, must be something else - as a German I am out of it...

OK .. what they are trying to do is called muzzle work or muzzle fighting.. many police dogs are trained in work like this. It is teaching the dogs that they can use their body and something other than their teeth to get the bad guy under control. The dog is likely too young to be doing this work and perhaps the work is being done improperly .. judgement call. Police dogs and military dogs are often trained to center up and slam into the target at speed as a way to get control and put the subject on the ground. Completely different from grab an arm and pull as the IPO groupies think is wonderful. A 85 pound dog hitting a man square in the chest at 30 mph will put him on the ground quicker than grabbing his arm and pulling. Obviously there are dangers in using the dog's body as a weapon but if you want a fleeing human on the ground centering up and hitting at speed will do it. Surprised no one knows the technique.  Similar to teaching a young dog that the target or helper can be controlled or moved with barking as a non-contact control. Video of a Mal doing muzzle fighting below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N54T75k9_xA

Once the dog knows how to use his/her body to put a man on the ground the dog has that skill to combine with biting.  Muzzle fighting just teaches the dog to use his weight and speed as a weapon in combination with biting.
