The usual morning face off and another gray day! 

Melania is looking very chic in her sky blue Ralph Lauren outfit, complete with matching gloves. Everyone else is wearing a rain poncho. Lol

@ML, your story did make me laugh! I thought you were going to let her use your new phone, too. I imagine the nurses know you so well, they must have known the old woman had picked her ally, well.

@vk4.  Don't lose any sleep trying to get into the mind of something you don't believe in. If there is a grand plan, your lack of imagination is part of it, and that's all you need to know.

And it was the  Dems who were caught napping, not God!

President Trump is happening, though! Hang tight world, it is going to be an interesting time to be alive!

I was going to make the call for Lucy, but Lucy is kind of pushy etc. and I knew if I made the call she would be pestering me all the time to make calls. Plus I wanted to embarrass the nurses, who in the past have always made calls for the patients.

Yes Bee the nurses know me well, but after what I said the nurses were laughing their butts off also. Lately the nurses and I have been getting along pretty well. In fact about five weeks ago the director of nursing (Renee) pulled me aside and asked me if I would like to put Linda in a private room. Linda has an aide (Sara) who is by far the best aide in the place and Linda loves her, so I was concerned that moving her to a different area where Sara didn't work would be a problem. Before I could say a word Renee told me that if we move her, she will still have Sara be her aide. Which was very nice of them and Linda is now in a private room. So I wrote a letter about what a great employee Sara was and put it in their suggestion box and Sara got employee of the month, which comes with a bunch of nice perks.

The female director of the facility and I get along well, she is always inviting me in her office. She did tell me that I "scared the hell" out of her when I almost broke her conference room table in half. But since then she said that in all of her years in the business she has never seen anyone that is as strong of an advocate for a loved one than me. She said I admire you, and I admire the amount of time you spend here helping your wife.

So things are much better.

I don't think it takes imagination to be a victim of religous indoctrination. More like it takes a systematic and forced shutdown of the parts of your mind that think.

LOL, I am well aware of your views on the matter. I am not going to debate you, though, especially here— on my fun-filled, weather thread!

Yeah, ML... two days of pouring rain! Ugh!

What a nasty bowl of slushy mess this morning! Hope yours was snow, ML, this stuff is the worst! They cancelled school today, too. I am not going anywhere today. Not sure about the neighbors across the street. Must have been some real slick ice in their driveway.... lol!

We got everything, snow sleet, freezing rain, more on the way.

All plowable.

Hey ML... Snowing ever so gently, here! Early dismissal for the kid, too. Not supposed to be a whole lot of accumulation by the time its done, but the roads are slippery enough.

I think the kid and I will make some Campell's soup and grilled cheese to feed my cold.

Same snow here, been snowing since 1 PM, only around an inch or so, but cold.
