Zorro and Freggel are bred very similarly. Not a coincidence.

I apologize for being somewhat dense. I've read this whole thread of messages. For the life of me, I fail to understand why you gave this discussion the subject line "My Ugly, Driveless, Nervebag?" Were you just being facetious?

Obviously, with you, Madox is anything but an "ugly, driveless, nervebag" but, given how you write about his previous owner, he wasn't that way with him, either.

Nevertheless, I'm glad you gave it that subject line. I might not have read it otherwise (which may have been the point.) I'm still learning about GSDs, particularly German bloodlines. I've spent a lot of time researching Czech/Slovakian breeding programs. I was not familiar with the Stadfeld dogs. Thank you for bringing them to my attention.

By the way, I noticed in Madox's pedigree his dam's sire was Paska vom Salztalblick. Here in North Carolina, there is a breeder who has based his breeding operation on Paska because he considers Paska to have been the ultimate German Shepherd Dog. In fact, this breeder owns Madox's dam, Sina.  Okay.  Now, things are starting to fall into place. (Why is The Twilight Zone theme song now playing in my mind?)

BM

on the " Xeph only thread " everyone was " forced " say how beautiful her ASL dogs were; it seems to be an unspoken culture.  I put up a pic of Voodoo Hartis Bohemia and it was deleted. I like the build of dogs like Madox, Ox Jirkova Dvora, Jago Jipo Me as well as Zorro anmd Freggel.

No one forced you to say anything on the thread you were FREE to say nothing you were FREE to not post.

The unspoken culture you speak of is NOT unknown it is called MANNERS which seem to elude you. This post from you is another example of that.

You keep claiming to like certain types of dogs I hope some day you are able to own one that you like well enough that you too can post beautifully posed pictures of either in a stand or working.

Jen, I know I saw Uno in 2005 in Borken, a nice dog, but I never saw him work, sorry.
My favorite was Metin, his elder brother. He and his father Etzel have been very impressive dogs, they made you able to believe in the "universal" dog.

Long time members of PDB recognize that Jenni was being facetious about her new stud dog acquisition. She is well known to ONLY speak highly about her extensive research and breeding philosophy as being beyond exceptional. The facetious nature of the title is a nod to her detractors who might use such terms, disparagingly. She stops that by beating them to it.

Mithuna is also mistaken to claim he is forced to say anything. He is being censored by the mods because he can't keep from forcing his opinion and preferences on other members' threads, seeking disingenuously to derail them with negativity towards their own enthusiastic opinion and preference for their type of dog.

(Oops...while I was posting, I see the mods have spoken on this thread.)
