You don't know how I think, as evidenced by the need to lie about how I think. Get a life maybe?

To everyone else who can think clearly:

Moonlight won "Best Picture". And only two other categories:

  • "Actor in a Supporting Role"
  • "Adapted screenplay".

Compare that to the six categories that La La Land won where the resounding theme is originality:

  • Won: Best director, Damien Chazelle.
  • Won: Best actress, Emma Stone.
  • Won: Best original song, "Audition".
  • Won: Best achievement in cinematography.
  • Won: Best achievement in production design.
  • Won: Best original score.

6 categories, including the Director, the Actress, Original song and score, and achievement in cinematography and production design. Yes, I would say those 6 over the other two don't add up to who won BEST. IMHO

Unless, you add in the political factor, then it begins to make sense how that is the difference in the criteria and the win. IMHO

Driving Miss Daisy and Argo won best picture but their directors weren't even nominated. The best picture winner doesn't have to win every other category as well.

You said that there were winners that filled quotas, well, who are these winners that weren't deserving?

Why don't you mention Casey Affleck? He won best actor but his film didn't win best picture. You only mention the black actor.

And you didn't even watch any of the films yet you still believe that Mahershala Ali was undeserving...because he is black.

Edited Western Rider Beetree created this thread specifically for me to respond in. I'm sorry I'm making your girlfriend look like the bigot she is but isn't that what attracts you to her?

@ML. Don't feel the need to take his baiting, either. I am confident in the people with good character and no agendas to see through this BS.

Too funny. I know who and what this is really about.

I won't say more because free speech is not part of TOS. Been around this block a time or two.

You have no choice but to respond. You have nothing intelligent to add to the conversation you started but you have to say something.

I do have a question that you will probably be too afraid to answer but why did you call me Carlos? I'm not Latino and that isn't even my name so was that your attempt to insult me? What makes you think I would be insulted by that?
