This is not strictly correct;

"

to pinpoint content in order to target advertising at the originator of that content. "

Refer YouTube adpocalypse, the whole debacle is because ads are not targeted, hence pro Jewish ads appearing on Jew hate sites and vice versa....and other such madness.

Advertisers, the big ones are punishing YouTube about this specific targeting, and lack there of,  issue.

Millionaire youtubers have lost ad revenue overnight with no explanation because of it.

There are algarythms that address issues in a half-baked manner - the 'accidental' side of eg anti semetic statements and advertisements turning up linked to subject matter simply by latching onto key words - the 'machine' does not, of course, differentiate between 'pro' and 'anti' sentiments (because it frequently can't, AI still isn't that subtle). So of course the sort of offensive couplings to which you refer are going to happen, and of course people are going to continue being upset by them. I am not claiming any answers for that one.

But at least half the worries aren't about those circumstances, they are about people receiving personalised threats and abuse.
