Check-in ML! Our funny friend was so determined he be officially checked out, I heard he got his wish granted. You and me, my friend, lol, going to have to carry on a conversation all by ourselves. What a weird flip isn't it? Lmao

How are the visits going with your wife? Hope all is going well with you. Me? Hobbling around the best I can! Need to get some weeding done in between the scattered rain. Slow going!

😘😘😘😘

Hi BEE,

It's going, last week was a major battle with the nursing home etc. I didn't think the wife was going to last through the week. I banged a few heads and she is a lot better today.

It's a long story but they have never dealt with anyone like me, and they are totally perplexed.

Internet access is not working at the house, I haven't had any time to check it. So I guess I'm doing the best I can. My being online is limited at the moment.

Keep me. Posted on the garden and any new receipes.

I hope you heal soon and get rid of that hobble.

Wow! I thought that nursing home had straightened out their act! So sorry it is back to the fight with them. Thanks for the update, I know your time with your wife is precious! She is so blessed to have you there, getting her the best care.

I will take garden pictures after I get some weeding done. Might take a few days... being I am a slow poke these days, and then, too, I got some Bday parties to plan for my boys! The oldest is turning 21! Yikes! He wants beer and Mikes Lemonade/ice Tea at his 🎉! 😮

Looking forward to seeing those garden pictures Bee.

I wish your son a happy 21st birthday. Remind him not to disclose who he votes for in the next election. Lol

My youngest just had his Bday pool party, yesterday. They had a great time. It went on forever. I am still recuperating today. I made enough food for a small army. I can barely move today! The dogs aren't moving either! They are all pooped out, too! lol

Tomorrow, I start the weeding. Today, I need a rest!

And then there was the Jury duty notice in the mail! Ugh! I wouldn't mind so much if I actually got picked one of these times, but I never am, so what a chore! Maybe, they won't need me by the time I am scheduled by some stroke of luck.

Hi Bee,

Glad to hear your son had a great Birthday party. 21, fond memories. LOL

So you have jury duty?

Last time I received a notice about being selected for Jury duty I threw it in the trash. A couple of months later I got a summons to appear in court. So in the middle of a bunch of criminal cases they call mine. The Judge asks me why I didn't go. So I told him I didn't feel like it so I threw it in the trash. He gave me a little lecture about how important jurors are to the Court system etc. Then he told me to march my butt down the end of the hallway, sign up for Jury Duty, then return to his courtroom with the paperwork.

He recalled my case, said he was going to dismiss it blah blah blah and asked me if I was going to show up. I said yes your honor I have seen the light, I'm going to mend my ways and perform my civic duty to the utmost of my ability. Everyone including the Judge was laughing, He told me while laughing get out of here, see you next month.

Hi, Mountainlion. After reading this thread, I was inspired to take some pictures of our garden veggies...all raised container grown because working at ground level at this age is too painful.

I hope you and your wife will enjoy them.

Note, we don't use any insecticides, and the wild cucumbers are all volunteer, growing from the ground and blending with the potted garden.

Hi Joan,

Your garden looks fantastic. I can't believe how big the tomatoes are already.

Thanks for sharing the pictures.

PS I looked at the pictures a dozen times and I still can't locate the Hoo Fish... LOL

by beetree on 26 June 2017 - 15:06

@Joan Nice looking plants and veggies in your garden! Still busy weeding mine, lol. Slowly making progress.

@ML Busy with kids & life etc., too. Will try to share and chat when I get some more free time.
