What's going to happen after the election is over?

If the left loses, and I think they are going to lose. Rumors are they are going to try to start a civil war.

Walmart is already removing all guns & ammo. Numerous stores are boarding up. In Manhattan almost all of the plush buildings have really beefed up armed security.

Hopefully a lot of posters here are in a position to defend themselves. I'm not anticipating things returning to normal after the election. Hope I'm wrong.

Not merely rumors, there are many manifestos out there for the world to see. I earlier posted about the website Shut Down DC.  More groups like them out there with even more militant agendas.

While I absolutely cannot stand the town I live in, I do feel safe from any type of ANTIFA, civil war or other such America hating group.   The only reason I have remained here.

A whole lot of literal pistol packing momma's here. Always interesting to see what they carry in their purse when they open it up to pay for something. Men tend to be the ones that open carry.

I can always go to the ranch. Even if the bridges were taken out, we could always swim horses. Geez, now that is real apocalyptic talk.

I am very curious about why all the Chinese military "supposedly" amassed upon our northen border.

What the HELL have you been smokin?? There's NO SUCH thing along our border!

Nate Sliver, who has a well-deserved reputation for predicting the outcomes of games and presidential elections (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nate_Silver) gives Biden a 90% chance of winning, with a 60% chance the win will be announced the day after the election, around 3 a.m. and a 30% chance it will be announce later.

He gives Trump only a 10% chance of winning.

He was wrong about the 2016 election, but his predictions were more accurate than most other polls, most of whom predicted Hilary by an 85 to 99% margin, while Silver had her at 71%.

Gee, I've heard it's going to be the right wing. They're the ones who were planning to kidnap Whitmer, and invaded the Michagan legislature building with AK47 rifles to protest the COVID shutdown!

I sincerely hope neither side will start any violence. Trump has hinted he will not concede power willingly if he loses, and most of us liberals are worried about what THAT might cause his followers to do.  https://www.forbes.com/sites/tommybeer/2020/09/24/heres-everything-trump-has-said-about-refusing-to-give-up-power/?sh=6e2da062e436

I have never smoked anything in my life.

by ThatWasClose on 30 October 2020 - 22:10

Oops, allow me to correct myself; I have smoked tons upon tons of fish; whether it just be with a little alder wood smoker, or at the huge fish factory in Norway. I loved going over to work in the smoke house in Norway. I was fascinated by all the technicality involved.

Okay, did I misunderstand you when you said that Chinese troops are supposedly massing along the U.S.A.'s northern border, which would be its border with Canada?

Where did you hear this total B.S.?

(And no, I don't smoke either, despite pot being legal in Canada.)

I kind of wondered the same thing. U.S. only has one Northern Border and I'm pretty sure you guys would have noticed.

by ThatWasClose on 31 October 2020 - 00:10

Really, we only have one northern border?   Interesting.

Here is another question then, are embassy's considered sovereign soil?

Sunsilver

Yes, traditionally they are. But if China was massing troops in their embassy in sufficient numbers to do any serious damage, I'm darn sure the RCMP would notice!

The Chinese embassy is in Toronto. That's a couple of hours away from the U.S. border. That would be a very non-strateigic location for them to be hiding.

Honestly, you have to wonder about the I.Q. of the people who make this stuff up! (I know it wasn't you, TWC...)
