I forgot to mention too, that when my two sable females were born they also had white chest and a couple toes. That is how I could tell them apart from eachother when the ribbons fell off. LOL As they grew , the white faded into the sable coloring and you cant notice it. My female also has Fero in her lines, didnt know that is where it came from. Thanks for that info.

Thanks, guys. You all helped me survive the stress. This poor dog is normally 67 lbs, but blew up to over 90! Freaked me right out. I haven't had a litter that large before. Bella needed no help and is doing a fantastic job. Her mother is DYING to have some of the puppies for herself, and she is constantly guarding the door to the dog room, growling at every outside sound. Granny is doing a great job herself!

Bella is a natural! She did a much better job with the cords than her own mother did (Ally chewed them off way too far); no puppies died (Ally lost 2--luckily not Bella!); and she has no verbotin colors (Ally had two livers).  One puppy, the 9th, is a little small, but it's vigorous. Oh, the next two months are going to fly. I guess I will mess around with SuperDog stuff--why not, if I'm handling the puppies anyway?

I'm planning on having my first good night's sleep since she came home about 2.5 weeks ago. I still have that little pneumonia thing going on, but it's ok if I take a couple benedryl to dry me out. Had a Mojito with my AmStaff friend to celebrate. You know, GSDs are kind of plain in comparison to these exotically marked dogs...but I have about 4 colors going on in this litter, so they are each slightly different.

Again, thanks for seeing me thru this whole deal! Now I just have to see if Bella is able to feed this many....what was that formula for milk booster that somebody posted? I can't find it now (wasn't expecting to need it!) , but I had better do whatever I can. Oh dear, what an exciting day!

Congratulations. You may be surprised about the milk- Capri had 9 in her first litter, and they were HUGE for a litter that size. She fed them just fine w/zero help from me in any way. I didn't have to feed them until they were 4 weeks old. I hope some of Bella's luck rubs off on Capri- she's due approx. 4-15. I do NOT need 9 again, and I CERTAINLY don't need TEN!

But glad everything worked out for you and her; now go get some rest;-)
